"After losing almost a hundred pounds, I was left with extremely loose, sagging skin, and after consulting with three plastic surgeons, I decided to go with Dr. Halka. He is exceptionally kind and patient with all my questions and concerns, and I am so happy I chose him as my surgeon. He did my brachioplasty (arm lift) and breast lift 7 weeks ago, and I am thrilled with my results. My scars look fantastic, and I honestly can’t believe how wonderfully everything is healing. I’ve had zero problems or complications. Dr. Halka will be performing my next two surgeries, a lower body lift and a thigh lift, in the coming months, and I have no worries about my care and comfort in his hands. The nurses and staff at Hedden and Gunn have also all been extremely helpful and friendly. As nervous as I was to start this journey of skin removal and reconstruction, Dr. Halka and the entire H&G team have made it as easy and painless as it could be, and I am so grateful."
"Excellent Surgeon; Excellent Results - Dr. Halka did an outstanding job replacing my 15-year-old saline breast implants. I researched extensively before selecting a surgeon. I was dealing with one of the 15-year-old implants having suddenly ruptured and deflated. I was concerned that this might cause complications and less-than-ideal results with the replacement; therefore, I wanted an exceptionally-skilled surgeon. I considered surgeons in Huntsville, Nashville, and Birmingham. After my consultation with Dr. Halka, I was confident that he was the right choice. It was clear to me that he had the knowledge, skill, and experience I was seeking in a surgeon. My impression was right! He did a great job. He replaced both implants (submuscular, saline, inframammary incision); and, the results exceeded my expectations! I’m six-weeks post op, and the scars are healing beautifully. Due to my age (60), I did not expect my results to be excellent. So, I am very happy to say that, because of an outstanding surgeon, the results are truly excellent. I highly recommend Dr. Halka."
"Choose Dr. Hedden! B to DDD cup, type 1 diabetic, 600cc, silicone submuscular - Dr. Hedden did a wonderful job on my breast augmentation I could not be happier with the results. I’m constantly telling my SO how happy I am that I chose Dr. Hedden to perform my surgery! I had tuberous breast and he did an amazing job correcting them! I healed very well after surgery even with being a type 1 diabetic. They look and feel so natural now and it has only been 6 months. I have 600cc silicone submuscular and went from a B to a DDD!Updated on 21 Apr 2024:All in all I’m very happy with my results! I nit pick them sometimes because my shape is off a little bit on one of them and they hang a little more than I’d like but that would require a lift and it’s so small and honestly I feel like they look more natural anyway so I’ll wait a while before I consider a lift and increasing the size. I wish I’d have gone with 800cc because boob greed is a real thing lol but I’m glad I got the 600 because bras are hard to find in a 38E lol but compared to what I started with I’d say I have a 95% improvement and I love the way all my clothes fit now! My scars have healed nicely and are barely even visible and can’t even be seen at all when I’m standing up. I still have some numbness but I’m a type 1 diabetic so I assume mine just take longer to fully heal but I have enough sensation back that I’m not too worried about it. Dr. Hedden did an amazing job and I’m happy I listened to everything he suggested. When I started this journey I was so afraid because what if I spent all this money and it didn’t turn out good. Almost a year out and I’m 1000% so happy that I did it and that I chose Dr. Hedden to do them! I’ve met three other women who had their augmentations with Dr. Hedden as well which is exactly how many women I’ve met that have had an augmentation since my surgery lol! They all loved the job he did as well! That’s also fun… telling someone that Dr. Hedden did your augmentation and them saying omg he did mine too! One of the best decisions I ever made!"
"Meticulously re-designed my body to the best I feel it can be! - I am a massive bariatric weight loss surgery patient. I’ve lost 158 lbs! I exercised the entire time during my journey but was left with flapping skin on my arms, and massive excessive skin everywhere. I interviewed surgeons, and Dr. Halka was my chosen surgeon and I couldn’t be happier with my decision. He was ‘The One!”. He is kind, beyond intelligent, personable, humble yet confident, and was excited to help me! He won me over from his first handshake! I had him fix my drooping saggy arms in November, 2022. My results were so great that I returned a few months later in April, 2023 to Dr. Halka who performed my bilateral thigh lift, Tummy Tuck with Muscle Repair, and circumferential body lift! He removed almost 12 lbs of sagging, loose skin. He meticulously re-designed my body to the best I feel it can be! What skill! My tummy is flat (it has been literally decades since I’ve had a flat tummy) and my belly button is adorable! My scars are beautiful, thin and even! I am 52 years old and I truly have never felt or looked better! I have been blessed to have found him! I highly recommend this terrific surgeon! He listened to every concern and answered every question. I never felt rushed or unheard. He checked on me post-surgery in recovery to make sure all was ok! He kept me close in follow up post-surgery visits to make sure I was healing properly. He’s the Best! I thought losing the weight was the best part, not knowing the skin removal surgeries would ‘complete’ me and finish my journey. I am forever grateful for him, and to him!"
"Came from out of town to have surgery and it was well worth the drive - I had surgery in Jan for scar revision from a previous surgeon and an implant exchange. Dr Hedden and all his staff was absolutely amazing. I wish I would have found him originally because my results and recovery are 10000x better. If I ever had any concerns or questions, him and his nurses always was so helpful and nice. You can tell that he really cares about his patients. I came from out of town to have surgery and it was well worth the drive."
"38B to 40DD - 3 weeks post 600cc, HP, silicone, Mentor - I had four children, breast fed and lost a lot of weight in the process. My weight would always fluctuate so that left me with REALLY droopy and uneven breast. I was always embarrassed of my breast and would never wear a swim top or anything due to them making me so insecure. I researched breast implants near me and several came up but one just kept coming up in every search, Hedden Plastic Surgery. I researched the center and did a virtual consult with Dr. Hedden, where I sent pictures of my then breast and told him what I wanted. It took him a few days to respond because he answers the emails personally, but he was Very informative on what my body needed and how it would look. After talking with friends, I ended up having 5 friends whom had used him . He suggested a lift but I was terrified with the scars. I went ahead and made an appointment and paid my fees. I went in about a week later and met with him. He looked at my body and educated me on the process and everything I needed to know. We drove 3.5 hours away so we spent the night and went back the next morning for surgery. His team one by one came in and checked on me and made me comfortable the morning of. He come into the room and went over the procedure in detail again. I was given a handbook that told me all about the risk, the aftercare and the after process. Surgery happened and we went back to the hotel and post op the next morning. The next day we went over post op care and he looked at the incision and implants. Since then, his staff has called and emailed me checking on me and answering any questions that I have. I made a side view collage of my breast. I never knew that something so small could make such a difference in me. I am VERY pleased and I would recommend this to anyone and I would recommend his clinic to anyone. I cant wait to see the final results. Before I was about a 38 b now I am close to a 40DD . I got 600cc HP Silicone Mentor"
"Planning for lift and augmentation - I am scheduled for a lift and augmentation. Would love to hear any stories to have from this surgery. I am nervous about the scars. I have thought about just augmentation but worried they would jus big larger and saggy. Wold love to have another opinion.Updated on 17 Feb 2022:I just had surgery yesterday. I am pretty sore today and feels like a burning sensation where the wounds are but meds are helping. I'm pretty pleased with the outcome. I went with 375 cc silicone implants.Updated on 8 Aug 2022:5 months progress"
"Mommy got new boobies! - Hi! I'm 31 years old, 5,5" and 190 pounds. I breastfed two children and had deflated 38Cs to start. I dreamed of having breast augmentation for years and years. I really was looking to fill in the tissue I had. My hope is a full DD or even a DDD. I started with slight sagging, and was told by 2 surgeons before that I needed a lift. I was not ready for the scars of a lift so Dr. Hedden and I decided that a larger implant and over the muscle would be best to achieve the look I wanted. I only met with him via email before my visit as I was traveling out of town. His email/virtual consultation was VERY thorough and he gave great detail into why he chose what he chose. My first visit to the office and in person consult was the day of my actual surgery.Updated on 3 Jan 2021:I ended up with 550CC Mentor implants placed over the muscle with incision in the crease. Covid makes everything a bit different with check in and your caregiver coming inside with you, but it was all very pleasant. The surgery check in, Nicole, was very informative and helpful. The nurse came to my car to get me and was very sweet and helpful the entire time. The entire staff was so nice! Dr. Hedden came in for what felt like less than a minute but answered everything and gave good detail in that short time. So far I'm feeling really good. Very tight, but not painful. I'm currently wrapped so I cannot see them until tomorrow at my post op.Updated on 3 Jan 2021:I am so glad that I listened to and trusted my doctor when he suggested over the muscle. I’ve definitely got a natural lift and the recovery has been a breeze! I’m able to get up and down with no help, range of motion is good and I can even wash my hair and put makeup on now. Pain is nonexistent, but still some tightness. "
"27, no kids, 5’3, 115 pounds, 400cc to 425cc - I have been wanting a BA for a while now! I wear a 32 B and hoping to wear a D or DD after surgery. My surgery is November 29th In Birmingham Alabama with dr Hedden. I will upload pics through out the process.Updated on 29 Nov 2018:I ended up going with 425cc. Still not sure of the profile of them. Was wanting high profile but dr. Hedden said that he will pick the profile for me. There isn’t much pain going on as of now. It’s more of a pressure and tightness. Staying on top of my pain meds and muscle relaxers. Overall it’s been an amazing experience. Will keep updating along the process! Updated on 30 Nov 2018:Day after surgery...had my post op appointment. Everything is going good. Pain isn’t bad at all. Been taking my pain meds like clock work. Still very tight and heavy on my chest. Great experience so far! Asked doctor today what he ended up putting in and it was 425 high profile. Very happy with results so far!Updated on 3 Dec 2018:I am recovering very well. Breast are still tight but haven’t had much pain at all. I have limited my self to 1 pain pill a day. Half in the morning and half before I go to bed. I take one muscle relaxer about half way through the day. I am taking ibuprofen also to help. They are already starting to drop. Still very happy with my choice of getting them and the size. 425cc high profile. Updated on 11 Dec 2018:I am recovering nicely. They are starting to drop now but still high. There is no pain anymore just have very sensitive skin from the stretching. Still in a sports bra 24/7 right now. Doctor said after 2 weeks I can wear a normal bra during the day but still stay in my sports bra to sleep for about 6 months. I am absolutely in love with my BA! I think I want the perfect size and do not regret anything about it! Updated on 21 Dec 2018:They aren’t dropping at the same speed but they are slowly falling into place. Still loving the results. My scars are still covered with tape. I would say in the next week they will be completely off. I have started massaging them this week. I thought this would hurt but it’s actually not to bad. Updated on 21 Dec 2018:Updated on 28 Mar 2019:I got my BA about 5 months ago and still love them so much! I’m starting to be able to sleep on my stomach again. ????( Never thought I would be able to again) I’m still sleeping in sport bras and was told to until 6 months. Wearing normal bras and in a 34DD but usually wearing a sports bra. "

"Nearly 5 years ago I had a reduction and lift which improved my appearance a great deal (made me look 10 lbs. lighter!). Although the surgery was successful and I was more pleased then I ever had been, still it was not quite right. My breasts were not as firm as I thought they should be due to my extra skin in that area. So for the first time, I seriously considered having an augmentation.
It seemed almost ridiculous to me to have had a reduction and then turn right around and have implants! But after consulting with the doctor, I was confident this was the direction I wanted to go.
We proceeded with the surgery and amazingly enough, I felt great when I woke up from the procedure. There was some discomfort. I was actually cutting up with the nurse and staff during my recovery period! In just a matter of days, I was back to my regular routine and was not in much pain. Basically, after the first couple of days, I started taking Extra Strength Tylenol instead of the pain medication. There was just one restriction after surgery and that was not to lift anything heavy for 6 weeks.
It has been months since my surgery. The scars have disappeared, I have no limitations and I can even sleep on my stomach! The most amazing thing to me is that my breasts do not feel like anything has been added, they just look great!
My younger friends are quite envious of my younger figure! The best thing about my augmentation is they look real, not fake! People assume they are mine! I encourage anyone considering an augmentation to have a consultation. They will answer any and all questions and educate you on the procedure. It's one of the best decisions I have ever made!"
"Amazing work - I am 5 years out from my breast aug and I can still say it was the best decision I have ever made. My scars are barely visible, healing was quick and easy, and to this day my breasts are perfect. Dr Hedden encouraged me to go with the larger implant size and I am very thankful I did. They fit my body perfectly."
"Breast lift (mastopexy) with augmentation - I am 33 years old and I’ve had self confidence issues for around 13 years because of super sagging flat breasts that had a wrinkled stretched raisin like appearance. After breast feeding my two children and my weight loss from 224 lbs to 160 lbs - I finally decided I had enough of my breasts looking the way they did. I had my breast surgery on 3/28/8. When I woke up from the surgery I was in an immense amount of pain but that faded over 3 days and I went back to work after 4 days. (Very light work duty) Right now I’m sitting at a little over a month since having them done. I chose silicone cohesive gel mentor implants filled with 450cc each. A little before 2 weeks my right breast had an allergic reaction to the adhesive of the steri strips so I took some steroids and tried to keep the steri strips on a little longer. I took the steri strips off just before the 3 week mark and the incisions looked a little scary, because of the scabbing but that’s normal. The scabs finally fell off and the incisions looked awesome for how little time had passed. At a month post op I sent my surgeon pictures and he said my nipples were still sitting a little low because the implants were still a little high. He instructed me to start massaging down so the implants would drop and give me a more natural look. I’ve also started using a scar treatment called ScarGard - it stinks something awful!! Overall I’m thrilled with how they look and can’t wait to see the final result! Updated on 4 Jun 2020:Just wanted to update with original pictures and results! One thing that I might change would be nipple size. (I would have had him cut them down a bit) It seems like once my nipples were cut lose, they relaxed and just stayed that way and now appear pretty large. I don’t have the “drawn up” movement ever - even when I’m cold. But overall, I feel like my scars are pretty minimal and my confidence has definitely improved."
"Breast augmentation 450cc saline TUBA ( through your belly button) - Dr. Hedden is amazing!! Highly recommend! So happy with my results after just 1 week!. I am 5'4 about 134 pounds. I was debating between 425-450cc saline and I am so glad I went with 450cc! Thank you Dr. Hedden! ( the pics are the morning before surgery and exactly 1 week after)Updated on 1 May 2018:Dr. Hedden is awesome! I posted my before and 1 week after already ( above this). I got 450 cc saline TUBA ( through your belly button) I definitely recommend then you don't have to deal with scars! I am so happy with my results! Thank you!! Updated on 8 May 2018:I love them!! But to be honest kind of wish I went 475-500cc now! after swelling and everything went down and the are settling but I am happy with my results!! Updated on 10 May 2018:Just an update on how they are looking! Love the look but kinda want to go bigger but I'm happy with them! Updated on 2 Jun 2018:wishing I went at least 500-550cc saline. I'm happy with them though! Just an update 7 weeks since surgery! Feel free to ask questions! "
"Dirty 30 - I turned 30 this year and I've always wanted to get my boobs done but have always had a reason not to. This year I couldn't find a reason not to and finally took the plunge! I saw Dr Hedden and his staff, and they were awesome! I would definitely recommend them to anyone. I'm on day two is of recovery and my husband has to leave town. Im sore but there's nothing I can't manage on my own at this point! I'll post pictures soon!Updated on 25 Mar 2018:I have been stalking real self for about 3 years, almost had a BBL last year but some things just ended up not panning out. But I did decide after losing some weight that I would be getting my BA/BL done. And I did! 750cc mentor implants and I couldn't be happier! Recovery isn't too bad and I look forward to posting pictures to see the on going process!Updated on 26 Mar 2018:As you can tell from my last two updates, I have definitely been on some pain meds! I figured I'd post some after photos. Today I'm back at work 3 days after surgery and I'm sore for sure! I'm looking forward to being home and sitting still! Updated on 27 Mar 2018:Not a whole lot to update! 5 days post op and I'm not in a whole lot of pain. That may change since I'm working a 13 hour shift today, but we will see! Has anyone else used Nitro cream on their nipples? My doctor gave me a small supply to take home to help with nerve healing, and I've been using it religiously! I just ran out this morning though. Anyhow I'll post some update photos soon! Updated on 28 Mar 2018:So tomorrow will officially make a week post op and I'm itching to get back to my normal routine, going to the gym, and picking up my son! Unfortunately, because I'm not quite there, I have to do other things to occupy my time. I worked a 13 hour shift yesterday and it wasn't too bad. I felt a bit woozy mid day and sat for a little bit and felt better. My chest did feel really heavy today though, not painful, just heavy! I decided I needed to find a more supportive sports bra. I tried some at Target, Kohls, and then Ross before settling on a Puma sports bra that I'm not sure is the best fit but it's the best I could find. I knew going in to this that having a small rib cage and wanting tobe "so busty" was going to be a challenge when it came to clothing, bras, and bathing suits but the pros outweighed the cons! I have always had a large chest 34F at my largest size, but my weight has always fluctuated and the first thing to come or go with my weight was my breasts. And then after three kids and finally getting down to a size five...my poor deflated boobs could probably be rolled up to fit in to a C cup. Anyhow! I tried some clothes on for fun today while looking for a bra, and I always send pictures to my husband while he stands out and waits for me ;) ! Im definitely still swollen, my left side has dropped a little more than the right, but I'm still super happy with my results. Updated on 29 Mar 2018:I've definitely dreaded posting these, but I know how relevant they are to the review, and giving everyone an idea of how good Dr Hedden is! Updated on 17 Apr 2018:Just a quick update! I'm just a few days shy of 4 weeks post op. I still love my results, my healing is going great, and I think my scars are looking pretty good. I think there's days when I stare to hard and can pick out every small imperfection but looking at my before pictures really snaps me back to reality. I have sharp shooting pains occasionally but nothing horrible. I went back to my the gym today but didn't doing anything the made my arms or band strain. Finding a bra is difficult but I settled on a Victoria secret dream angel 36DDD."
"Breast Augmentation - Today, I received my breast augmentation! Yay! I got to the clinic at 6:15, signed all my paperwork, did my pre-op, Dr.Hedden and his medical team got me all prepped and marked me up. They were the nicest people who made me feel so comfortable! We discussed my sizing before I went into the operating room. During my first consultation in November, we decided on 450cc saline implants under the muscle. Today, I told Dr.Hedden I wanted to be a full DD a year from now and that I wanted him to try 500cc’s and he said he would do it! And just like that, I woke up with 500cc saline implants and I couldn’t be happier that I went up the extra 50cc’s before surgery. My mom is my caregiver, so she got me after surgery and filled my medications for me. I was able to eat and drink water when I got back to my hotel room. And I DID NOT PUKE! I have heard that a lot of people get sick after surgery, but I have been fine and dandy. I ate some chicken salad, saltine crackers, peanut butter crackers, 2 pieces of chicken Florentine pizza, and I’ve had a few butter cookies! I have also drank A LOT of water today, along with some sprite. I’ve been drinking Life Wtr because it has electrolytes which is what you need after undergoing surgery! Not too much pain. My boobs do not hurt, it is mostly my upper back. It just feels like I had a hard work out or I’ve been carrying a big backpack for too long. I moved from my bed to use the bathroom and walks up and down the hall to help my blood flow. I’ve been taking my pain medication on the dot, which I think has really helped me a lot. Like I said, it’s not my boobs that hurt - it’s just my back. So when my back started bugging me while laying in bed, I moved to the chair in my hotel room and sat straight up. It ended up relieving ALL of my back pain and it knocked me out for a hour nap. So I definitely recommend that. I have my bed all set up with pillows surrounding me so I can sleep on my back, and I will update you all tomorrow on how I’m feeling and how I slept! I will also post some pics tomorrow!Updated on 14 Dec 2017:Went to the office this morning so Dr.Hedden could look at everything and give me some tips before I see him again in 3 weeks. Overall, I feel great today! I got up, took a shower, and even did my hair and make up! My back doesn’t hurt this morning, I just feel pressure on my chest but no pain. Slept through the night last night too! I put comfy pillows all around me so I would stay on my back! So far so good guys, about to start on my antibiotics!Updated on 6 Jan 2018:Had my first check up yesterday, and Dr.Hedden says everything is great! I can wear normal bras during the day now. So I immediately went shopping after my appointment. I found that I’m somewhere between a 36DD-36DDD - which is very exciting. I look normal in clothes, and they have already dropped a lot and the scars are almost not even there and I’m so happy about that!"

"I had a breast augmentation 2 weeks ago by Dr. Hedden. I think he did an excellent job on my surgery. He even fixed scars that I had from a previous surgery that were bothering me badly. My only complaint (and its very minute, as I should decide the size) is that I wish he would've helped me come up with a size, rather than leaving that decision completely up to me, as the sizers don't accurately depict the look I was seeking. Other than that, I strongly recommend him and will be going back!"
"27 Years Old, No Kids, 5'7", 157lbs, 470cc with Lollipop Lift - Birmingham, AL - I had my procedure yesterday and I felt compelled to write a review after all the time I spent on this website and how much it helped me. I am 27 years old, active female and I've had saggy breasts since before I could remember. After years of wanting larger breasts I met with a local PS and found out I also needed a lift. However I didn't really like that PS so I can went in search of a new one. After severalCo workers recommendations I went to Dr. hedden and knew he was the surgeon for me. He was patient, knowledgeable and very down to earth. I arrived at his office at 7:30 am the morning of surgery and about 9:30 I was back in the OR suite. The pre-op nurse and CRNA were wonderful! I remember laying on the OR table and waking up in PACU. The PACU nurse wasn't all that great, she seemed very impatient and not compassionate at all. I got some sprite to drink and got in the wheelchair and was on my way back to the hotel. My boyfriend was wonderful with making sure I got all my meds right on time and nitro cream on my nipples every 4 hours as instructed. Now as we've just about completed post op day 1 I'm honestly feeling great. A little sore and kind of slow doing things but much better than I thought I would be.All in all, I love my new girls(:Updated on 24 Jun 2017:So here we are, post op day 3. I slept in the bed since I got them done which is fine, until it was time to roll over which hurts. Getting out of bed is pretty painful and I need help to do that, but once I'm up and moving I feel good. I take Valium for muscle spasms when I first wake up and Tylenol through out the day. I got out of the house yesterday for a little bit and that felt good. My right breast is a lot more sore than my left, but I'm right handed and stubborn so I've probably been doing too much. Planning to take it easy today. I got a shower last night with a little bit of help and I have stopped using the nitro. PS said only to use it now if I notice my nipples turn blue, thankfully they still look normal. All in all, things are still going well. I still cant get over how much I love them (: Updated on 27 Jun 2017:Just about a week post op.. here's some progress pics. I'm pretty much back to normal activity but at the end of the day and when I get out of bed in the mornings, I do feel pretty sore. I'm stubborn so I'm probably just doing too much. Being a nurse, we make the worst patients. Only complaint today is the itching. Oh my, it itches like crazy sometimes. And occasionally I'll get sharp pains in my nipples, but I'm glad to still have feeling in them so I'll take it. I'm ready for the steri strips to come off so I can see the scars. Hopefully next week they'll start coming off. I use a cool blow dryer on them after the shower just to dry them really good (something I tell my patients so I decided to practice what I preach lol) so these steri strips will probably stay on the whole 3 weeks. Oh well, whatever is best for the girls (: Updated on 17 Jul 2017:Just a little update, about a month post op, finally took the steri strips off. I'm super pleased with how my incisions look and I don't think the scars will be bad at all. Going to start using scar cream soon.Updated on 26 Jul 2017:I wanted to post a quick scar update, I'm 35 days post op. And like most of you ladies my biggest fear was having bad scars. Y'all, I can't even explain how amazed I am at how good my scars look!!! I've been using a cream called Invincible Scars that I researched and found on Amazon. It's worked so good! And it's way less expensive than all the other creams and scar treatment out there. Now I've never really had an issue with scarring, never had a keloid or raised scar problem so some this may be genetic or some maybe be this great cream!! "
"First let me say that I believe my plastic surgeon, Dr. Schaffer is the best in the world! The nurses and staff are great! I got a BA by Dr. C. Schaffer. I am an out of town patient and it was well worth the travel. He took his time, was pleasant and patient during my consultation. He answered all of my questions thoroughly, and I had a TON of questions. The day of surgery the staff and Dr. Schaffer were very calming. The only thing that I really remember is waking up and being instantly in love with my results. I am 7 weeks post op and the results just keep getting better. My scars look great! That was a major concerns of mines. They are really small and thin. Everyone is amazed by my results. At first I was recommended by a friend to see Dr. Hedden, but he refused to do my surgery without a lift. Dr. Schaffer agreed and I am actually happy things turned out the way they did. I was back to work on post op day 5. My pain was not as bad as I expected it to be. The medication he prescribed worked well, but was needed. THE PERECT EXPERIENCE! I will definitely choose Dr. Schaffer again. Cost: Great (cash)Waiting time: OkResults: GreatFollow-up: GreatThe one and only issue I have had is that I ordered $60 scar cream the nurse recommended over the phone during a follow up call. Two weeks later I have yet to receive it. I spoke with a nurse, as she wants to give it a few more days before she sends me out another one. Outside of that hiccup... I am a satisfied client. I recommend Dr. Schaffer!!! You won't be disappointed!"
"Breast Augmentation After Breast Reduction - He is simply awesome. I was pretty apprehensive about letting another PS touch me because the PA that did my breast reduction really did a [RS bleep] poor job. However I'm SO satisfied with Dr. Heddens work with correcting my breast. He treated my scars and gave me my projection back. I will forever be grateful of him!! His staff was awesome and I absolutely loved his anesthesiologist-- she was very kind. My whole experience was great. My husband had questions after hours and the nurse on called called him back at 2am in the morning. I am thinking about getting a BBL and I might let Dr. H perform the procedure for me instead of going to Miami. I just feel like Dr. Hedden is a great PS and your just a number to him. Thanks to the guy I'm back in the mirror admiring my body. I refer him to all of you with your PS needs. Thanks Doc!!!!"

"Over the last year I have lost some excess weight through diet and exercise. Despite my extremely active exercise program I was still unable to lose specific pockets of body fat. Also, due to the weight loss, my face had lost fat and was looking aged, to include sunken eyes and deep smile lines.
After coming to the realization that more exercise would not get rid of the body fat and more dieting only resulted in increased fat loss from my face, I decided to see a plastic surgeon. Based on multiple recommendations and outstanding experiences by friends, family and co-workers, I chose to see Dr. Hedden.
During my consultation, Dr. Hedden explained what needed to be done. He was extremely professional and informative.
Just a couple of months later I underwent SmartLipo to my abdomen and flanks, fat transfer to my lips, cheeks, smile lines and under my eyes. I also had my tummmy tuck scar revised and Dysport injected into my forehead and crow's feet. It was so nice to go to the surgery center in Dr. Hedden's building. The staff was so nice and took such good care of me. I can't say enough how much I appreciate their part in my care.
My results were absolutely incredible! Dr. Hedden exceeded every expectation I had!"

"I am 50 years old and have spent my entire life wishing for a chest. After my first child, I "swelled" up to a 34B, but my second child (whom I breast fed) deflated them right back down.I never dreamed I would ever be able to do anything about my size until my wonderful husband asked what I wanted for Christmas. I expected him to laugh when I said breasts, but he said for me to check it out.
I began immediately researching doctors. I made an initial list of about 12 doctors and narrowed the list to two and made appointments with both of them. My first appointment was with Dr. Hedden. I was so impressed with his calm, straightforward language and understandable explanation of the surgery, I cancelled the other appointment.
My surgery was scheduled for January and it was only the beginning of December! I had to wait what seemed like forever. During this time I vacillated on the size of implants. I originally thought maybe 250cc. Dr. Hedden suggested that I think larger because most women regretted that they did not go larger. So, I apprehensively decided on 350. However, the day of surgery when Dr. Hedden checked me for the last time I was shocked and amazed to hear myself tell him 360cc. That was the best decision I have ever made. I am now a very nice 34D. The implants were placed under the muscle from a little incision under the breasts. The incision is in the fold and no one can see it!
My surgery went very well and I left the surgical suite in my sports bra with breasts up under my chin! That was a little scary but I was assured that they would drop into their rightful place! I got very tired of the sports bras and on my Day 3 post op visit we had to wrap my breast with an ace to help them drop. I had pain medicine, but I didn't ever take it for pain due to the surgery. My only pain was from my lower back because I had to sleep on my back for several weeks. I only took it for a few days, but it was very needed to help me sleep. I took three days off from work and was back one week after surgery. When I went back I had to get the other nurses to lift and turn my patients, but they were more than willing to help. It has now been 4 months since my surgery and I feel like I have been this size all my life. My breasts have the most wonderful look and feel. The scars are barely visible and the natural sag to them makes them appear totally natural. I actually have more sensation in them now than I did before surgery.
Would I do this again? In a New York minute! The change in body image has been one of the best things I have ever done for myself. For the first time in my life, my top is in proportion to the bottom. I fill out shirts that hung flat before. I own 13 bras in every color and the thrill of the day is deciding which one I want to wear.
Would I choose Dr. Hedden again? I ask you, why settle for second best?"

"I love Dr. Hedden! I had been researching him and TUBA for about a year before I went through with it. I told him what I wanted and he delivered that and more. Not too big, not too small. I looked for reviews on him and never read anything bad so I decided to go with him. Birmingham is just a few hours away from Mississippi, so I took the 3 hour trip and I don't regret anything at all. I am 2 weeks post OP today and I love my new boobies. They are perfect. No Scars, no pain. I would recommend him to anyone who is interested in Transumbilical Breast Augmentation. He's the best!"
