"I feel like I am in the best shape of my life! - I first went to Dr. Fontana for Botox and fillers when she was at Mount Sinai Hospital in NYC. After being disappointed with other doctors, I knew I was lucky to have discovered Dr. Fontana; she always provided me with amazing results!By the time I decided to finally pull the trigger and have permanent procedures done, Dr. Fontana had moved on for a Fellowship, but it was a no-brainer that I needed to travel and follow her for my desired plastic surgeries. I knew I trusted the skills of Dr. Fontana more than any other doctor I have encountered, and I can 1000% affirm that I was right to! These were my first surgeries of any kind, so of course I was still initially nervous, but there is something about Dr. Fontana’s very caring demeanor that so easily puts me at ease, and I knew I was in good hands. Most importantly, I had seen Dr. Fontana’s work and it is clear that she is an extremely talented surgeon! My results somehow even exceeded my expectations!!!Okay, now for the details:I am 41 years old (40 years old at time of the surgeries), athletic (run marathons and do crossfit), but have some stubborn areas of my body that were only getting worse with age, even with diet and exercise. I have included several before and after pictures, with the after pictures being about 2.5 months post-op. I had always been unhappy with the excess fat below my chin and the increasingly excess tissue above my eyelids. I had also previously had Dr. Fontana do fillers to better define my cheekbones. To finally permanently address these areas I was unhappy with, Dr. Fontana performed liposuction under my chin, upper blepharoplasty, and fat grafting to my cheekbones. I feel like these three procedures took 10 years off my face! I did not experience any pain or discomfort from any of these procedures, and wearing the compression for a few weeks under my chin was not bad at all (I would literally forget I was wearing it sometimes!). Obviously, I am extremely happy with my results! I know I am holding my head higher as it has rejuvenated my self-confidence; I even cut my hair short to accentuate these features I previously tried to hide!My family genetics cause me to retain excess fat around my midsection, which again was only getting worse with age, despite diet and exercise. Since I have been doing crossfit since my late 20s, several years ago I was close to seeing some markings of defined abs, but they were fading under my expanding “love handles”. My self-esteem was also decreasing as I was no longer able to fit into more and more of the clothes I loved. Dr. Fontana addressed my specific concerns, and gave me back my positive body image, by performing liposuction on flanks and abdominal etching. Dr. Fontana’s work DRASTICALLY exceeded my expectations! It is crazy that now, at 41 years old, I feel like I am in the best shape of my life!!! I have never felt so confident in my body! As an unexpected bonus, being so happy in my body has made me even more motivated to maintain a healthy lifestyle, which I am very happy about! As for recovery, while there were a few weeks of swelling that could get a little uncomfortable at times, the compression really helped and I was only on pain killers for 2 days, so not a bad recovery at all.If anyone is questioning if they should choose Dr. Fontana, my advice would be to stop questioning and get an appointment with her ASAP!!! I feel like my pictures of her work speak for themselves; you will not be disappointed! My only regret is waiting as long as I did to finally set up my procedures…I’m kicking myself for not making the appointment to rejuvenate myself sooner!"

"PLEASE READ………….. Dr. Pasha Mostofi, MD, is the best doctor I have ever had in my life. He preformed an upper eyelid blepharoplasty and lower eyelid blepharoplasty, face lift, neck platysmaplasty, & rhinoplasty. I’d never had anything major done cosmetically. I was nervous. He put me at ease immediately. He is a perfectionist & that is what you want in a plastic surgeon. The first day I met Dr. Pasha Mostofi it was for Botox & a consult. He did my Botox injections I ask him about fillers for my face. He said you do not need them & I will never do anything that doesn’t enhance your appearance. I liked that he wasn’t trying to sell me on anything & he was honest. He then sit down next to me & brought out his iPad. He walked me through each of the procedures that I was wanting to have done. He showed me actual highlights of videos & pictures of his surgeries explaining what he would be doing to me to help achieve my goals. (Don’t worry he didn’t show the gory stuff). To have an understanding of the process was so very helpful. He wasn’t in a hurry either. He took his time. He answered all of my questions. Dr Pasha wasn’t trying to rush me so he could get out of the room with me to move on to the next patient. That meant a lot since most doctors visits are rushed these days. Fast forward to my surgery day. He came to see me before they took me back to the operating room. He ask if I had any questions. He put me at ease & it was GO TIME. The surgery went great!!! He even called me that night to check on me. Afterwards he gave me his cell number to text him with any concerns or questions that I may have before my follow up appointment. I did text him & he answered me within 15 minutes. Over the next couple of months as I heeled I text him a couple more times & he got back to me immediately. I couldn’t believe it. A doctor giving you his cell number & he text you back. I’ve never seen this in my lifetime. As the swelling & bruises started to heal I could tell a huge difference & now after 4 months I can see what a magnificent plastic surgeon Dr Pasha Mostofi truly is. My under eye bags & the hump in my nose are gone. I no longer have the sagging skin that made me look tired. My neck looks like it did 15 years ago. Family & friends that didn’t know I was having plastic surgery keep telling me how good they think I look. They ask me what am I doing to look so bright eyed & fresh faced. Some even use the word glowing. Hey, at 62 years old I sure love hearing those compliments. 😁 I am so happy with my results. I have more confidence & a big smile on my face. He did some successful botox for me, but I wasn't quite sure if I was needing something more . "I have had excessive sweating since as long as I remember. Probably since puberty. My wardrobe consists mainly of white or dark colored T-shirt's. I could never wear the pretty blouses I wanted to. Hyperhidrosis affects your self esteem. In high school, I often had to wear a flannel or cardigan over my T-shirt's because of the sweat stains. It was awful. I couldn't even wear tanks on a hot day. I've been researching Miradry for about 4 years now. I've wanted to get it done but finances prevented that until now. My procedure is scheduled for September 20, 2019 at Dr. Hedden's clinic in Birmingham, AL.Updated on 15 Sep 2019:I was told not to shave my armpits 3 days prior to the procedure. I’m getting excited and nervous! 5 more days!Updated on 20 Sep 2019:I’ve been waiting on this day!! I wasn’t too nervous thankfully. I have a fear of needles and doing this is a huge thing for me. First the nurses cleaned my armpits and applied the template (temporary tattoo). Next, the nurse manager came in and injected the lidocaine. There was only 5 sticks per arm and they weren’t too bad. Thanks to me getting the procedure done at a plastic surgeon’s office they had access to a nifty little machine from the OR (can’t remember what she said it was called) that allowed 5 injections per arm instead of 20-60 with a needle. Really a lifesaver!! After the injections, she gave me some little ice packs to put under my arms. We then proceeded with the Miradry. I literally felt nothing but warmth, not burning hot or anything though. Totally tolerable. It feels weird with your pits being numb. Lol!! I popped some ibuprofen when I left. And the did send me home with prescriptions for Medrol and Norco. She said I probably won’t need the Norco but they send it just in case because it cannot be called in if I end up needing it. Hopefully I won’t!! I’ll update as my recovery progresses.Updated on 22 Sep 2019:Also an increase in pain but nothing unbearableUpdated on 22 Sep 2019:Still swollen pretty bad but there is no pain! Swelling extended down to my bra line and my arm (where the white area welts are).Updated on 23 Sep 2019:I have no pain today. Swelling is still present but not as bad. Though, I’m having a tiny amount of sweat right now. I’m not wearing any deodorant as instructed. I had a job interview this morning with NOT even an ounce of sweat. This would normally cause me to have to change my shirt afterwards lol. But I did take my diet pill after lunch though so maybe that’s it? Idk. A little disheartening. I’m ok with doing a second procedure but I was hoping to not have to. Updated on 24 Sep 2019:I don’t know if I’m actually sweating or just feel like I am. It feels kinda clammy or damp. I put a paper towel under my arm and it wasn’t wet. But it’s for sure clammy. Updated on 25 Sep 2019:I still have some swelling but it has went down considerably. No pain. Just a razor burn like feeling. I still think I’m sweating in high anxiety times. That really sucks, especially this soon after the procedure. Updated on 30 Sep 2019:Definitely have some sweat. Went thru to my shirt today. Not happy Updated on 18 Oct 2019:I am finally starting to see a good decrease in armpit hair. It’s only in patches now. I guess it took some time for that benefit to kick in. Now if the sweat would follow suit ??????Need to find out how long to wait for a round two. "

"I am a physician from South Florida who flew to Birmingham, Alabama just so I could visit Dr William Hedden at the Hedden Plastic Surgery Center and have the "miraDry" procedure performed on myself, as quite honestly, I sweat profusely and after I heard him lecture on this topic at a medical conference, I wanted to have this procedure performed on myself to stop my underarm sweat and odor.As every physician knows, doctors make the worst patients, and I was on my best behavior to avoid being one of those patients that every doctor hates to see when they walk into the treatment room. So, after a flight to Birmingham and a night at the Grand Bohemian Hotel Mountain Brook, I took an Uber to the Hedden Plastic Surgery Center and was the first patient of the day. Upon arrival, the office and surgical suite was stunningly beautiful and modern that could rival any medical office in the country. I was greeted by a friendly staff, and completed my paperwork on one of their computers.I was taken into an examination room, given a full informed consent and explanation of the miraDry procedure. Truth be told, I already did some research before hand via one of his nurses and was well prepared to have the procedure performed. I had the pleasure to have Wynn work on me and she was an outstanding medical nurse that has performed the miraDry procedure many times.After a local anesthesia that I barley felt, the miraDry procedure is like a handheld wand that uses miraWave energy that targets and destroys sweat and odor glands in your underarm. Once those glands are destroyed they do not grow back so that means once they are gone, they are gone for good. The entire procedure took about 45 minuted each side and I had pretty much zero pain and took a Uber to the airport to travel home. The only challenge was trying to keep the ice packs under each armpit and travel on a plane, so if I had to do it again, I would have spend another night in Alabama and leave the next day.So there you go, I had the miraDry procedure performed on myself and now I get to write a Yelp review about an embarrassing medical condition I have (well technically I am cured now so the correct word is "had" and I am glad I did it). The day after and next few days after the procedure were not bad at all, other than some significant swelling in my underarms that made me look like I was at the gym, and there was some mild redness. I really had no pain, no complications, and would 100% recommend this procedure and Dr Hedden to anyone that has excessive underarm sweating or odor.I am sure that there are other doctors and medical centers that offer this procedure, but I decided to go to Dr Hedden as I felt he was a world class expert in this procedure and after hearing him lecture and spend some time in his office, I am super happy I traveled to see him and his staff --- he deserves my 5 star rating on Yelp."

"My experience with Dr. Hedden was the best! I had a breast augmentation in July of 2012 and it was okay. I did 290cc of saline I can't say anything bad about that surgeon. I just wanted an upgrade I wanted them bigger and I wanted silicone! I had a friend that went to dr. Hedden and she was very pleased with him, so I decided I scheduled a consultation with him it took me about 2 months to get a consultation. I was in the office for probably 15 mins before I was called into a room to see dr. Hedden! Me and my boyfriend played around with the samples while we waited to see what size we liked. I was kinda hard for me to tell what it would look like since I already had implants. Originally I was wanting to go to a 450! But me and my boyfriend continued to talk about it and said we really couldn't even tell a difference so we picked 500 (he wanted me to go a lot bigger being a male of course) but I researched and researched females my size and 500 cc of silicone gel, and I truly liked the size and I felt those would look best! My consultation was July the 14th and that day we scheduled the surgery for august the 10th. My surgery was scheduled for 8 I got back in the room about 9 around 10 the took me back for surgery. I remember waking up around 12:15 and I left at 12:30, I ended up getting 525cc silicone gel! It was a super easy process. I felt like everything was done in a timely manor. I stayed the night the night of my surgery and had to follow up post op day one, while I was there I got some juvaderm injections in my lips! It was pretty painful but I have to say I absolutely love them! They a beautiful I've received so many compliments on my lips! I'm now post op day 5 I can pretty much do anything I'm still a little sore! I will return to work Friday and I can't wait to show off my lips! I highly recommend dr. Hedden and his facility. He truly listens to you and your concerns. He puts his patients first. The staff is awesome as well, they make you feel at home. And the anesthesiologist was great to! The day after I got home I had a get well soon card from his facility which was super kind. If I could do it all over again I wouldn't change one thing! In my opinion Dr. hedden in the BEST plastic surgery!"
"I had my miradry procedure done in March and I am so happy with my results! The procedure was so simple and painless. I did have swelling and tenderness post procedure but nothing that ibuprofen didn't help with! There is really no downtime, I was back to work that afternoon. Even the numbing process wasn't terrible. I haven't had a drop of sweat since and another bonus is that most of my hair is gone!! I couldn't be more satisfied with this amazing procedure and recommend it and Hedden Plastic Surgery to everyone!"

"I have been a client of Dr. Hedden for several years. I have gotten Botox, Dysport and Juvéderm injections, Chemical Peels, Lime Light, Titan, and recently Fraxel and Pearl. I have always been extremely pleased with the results at Hedden's office. I once went to a medi-spa with a Juvéderm coupon and left horrified at my appearance. My lips looked like a duck and my upper lip was lumpy. It really takes talent, practice, and knowledge to get it right. Dr. Hedden has all 3. I'll never go back that medi-spa again.
I prefer Dysport over Botox to get rid of and prevent forehead wrinkles. It seems to last a little longer and costs a little less! I love Juvéderm to slightly plump my lips and fill in my nasolabial fold."
"Over the last year I have lost some excess weight through diet and exercise. Despite my extremely active exercise program I was still unable to lose specific pockets of body fat. Also, due to the weight loss, my face had lost fat and was looking aged, to include sunken eyes and deep smile lines.
After coming to the realization that more exercise would not get rid of the body fat and more dieting only resulted in increased fat loss from my face, I decided to see a plastic surgeon. Based on multiple recommendations and outstanding experiences by friends, family and co-workers, I chose to see Dr. Hedden.
During my consultation, Dr. Hedden explained what needed to be done. He was extremely professional and informative.
Just a couple of months later I underwent SmartLipo to my abdomen and flanks, fat transfer to my lips, cheeks, smile lines and under my eyes. I also had my tummmy tuck scar revised and Dysport injected into my forehead and crow's feet. It was so nice to go to the surgery center in Dr. Hedden's building. The staff was so nice and took such good care of me. I can't say enough how much I appreciate their part in my care.

Dr. Hedden did respond to my emails and pictures as well. I can tell that he gets a large volume of emails as he is answering them late at night in effort to respond back to everyone. I paid 4k for my augmentation and I chose marena silicone implants. I am thrilled with my results. I chose 550 cc and went from a size 36 B to size 36D. The scarring is minimal and they sit perfectly on my chest. The first week and half I was extremely sore from the surgery. The medication makes u think you can resume normal activities but they key is to take it slow and rest a lot. Even simple things like washing my hair was a challenge. After week 2 I was feeling much better and by week 3 I was fully recovered. After returning home (I only stayed in AL for 3 days post surgery than returned home to NY) I was experiencing pain and Dr. Hedden asked me to text him pictures so he could check my progress and reassured me to just take it easy and sure enough eh was right. It has been a little over a month since the surgery and I am VERY HAPPY! I highly recommend Dr. Hedden. He explained and answered all my questions to me and made me and my husband feel comfortable and confident about the surgery. Birmingham is a beautiful place. I was very nervous about travelling to a place I had never been but it very similar to long island. There are lots of shopping plazas that have everything you could need. By day 3 we visited the two malls in Hoover. (beautiful). Everything was inexpensive and easy to find. No issues what so ever, which is something I stressed & worried about leading up to my surgery. Dr. Heddens office is GORGEOUS and super modern. I even treated myself to some botox as it was inexpensive as well. I would def go back to Dr. Hedden after I have my kids for some liposuction and tummy tuck. Absolutely no regrets. People thought I was crazy when I told them I was travelling down south to have my surgery but here in NY they wanted to charged me 8500 for the same procedure. I only paid about 4k for silicone. An additional 1k for airfare for me & my husband (you do need a care giver), 3 days hotel stay and car rental and meals and medication. I saved about 3500 flying down south and had the best care & the amazing results. HIGHLY RECOMMEND HIM!!!!"
