"2 days Post Breast Augmentation - I'm on day 2 of recovery from my breast augmentation. It's honestly not as bad as I thought it would be. The only parts that suck are feeling like potato( you literally can't do anything), and that the muscle relaxers make you super sleepy. Stopped taking the pain meds i was prescribed and switched to Tylenol because I didn't like the way Norcos made me feel. My chest feels sore and tight and still very swollen. But this is all to be expected. Dr. Hedden at Hedden and Gunn plastic surgery center was amazing. All of the staff did a great job with me. It was an all around amazing experience. I started out at large A/small B and asked to be a D. He did 450cc on each side. Smooth, round, high profile silicone. More updates to come! *they look shiny because I've been applying vitamin E to try to prevent stretch marks *Updated on 25 Apr 2024:Dropping more and more everyday. Liking the results so far. This is a 34D and I feel like it might be just a hair too small in the cup (my nipples are like right on the edge of this thing lol) I tried on an underwire bra but it didn’t scoop me underneath properly. Probably because my implants are still sitting a little high and still firm. "A Whole New Me! - What a life-changing experience with Dr. Halka! As a 45-year-old woman, wife, and mother, I finally realized that taking care of myself IS taking care of my family. I decided to put myself and my health first for a change and set a goal to lose the excess weight I've been carrying around my entire life. With bariatric surgery, a complete lifestyle change to a low-carb diet, and 4-6 intense 5 am workouts weekly, I lost 110 pounds and have maintained the loss for two and a half years. This was ah-mazing! However, after two years of hard work and dedication, my body was still a saggy, floppy mess even after the incredible weight loss. "I had a bbl and lipo 360 with Dr. Hedden last year, and I’ve been very happy with my results. I did an online consultation. The following appointments were pretty quick, and overall, the price was reasonable for what I had done. They were very straight forward about pricing and everything involved with the surgery. They also have good post surgery support, which I appreciated. I really liked that they have an after hours line for any problems you may have, and I could get in touch with an on call nurse who actually answers if I had any issues. I recommend them. "bbl review - I recently had surgery on 9/9/22. I had lipo 360 w/ BBL. After gaining some weight, I wasn't happy with my body anymore. Despite diet and exercise, I still couldn't get the shape I wanted due to mostly fat on my waist. Originally, I was only going to get lipo done but figured I might as well use the fat while I have it since it's going to lipoed off anyways. I'm currently 3 weeks post op but the pictures I'm posting are from 2 weeks. Overall, I'm extremely happy with my results and finally have the body I've always dreamed of.Updated on 2 Oct 2021:I don’t have many good before pics on my phone, so I tried to do the best I could. I traveled from Memphis to Birmingham just to see him and I’m very pleased - i had my very first breast implants & lift w/ Dr. Hedden. a lot of my friends went to him so it was a no brainer for me. i traveled from Memphis to Birmingham just to see him and i’m very pleased. i’m 7 days post op, had very minimal bruising. he’s straight to the point but listens to your needs as well. his staff is very kind & informative. i will definitely be returning for a nose job once i get the boobs paid off :)"
"BBL with dr.gunn - I had my BBL and 4 areas of lipo by Dr Gunn. I'm three weeks weeks post op. I'll start off by saying that I'm super happy with my results and I think Dr Gunn is an amazing surgeon! He's compassionate, he listens to what you want and is straight forward with helping you to be realistic about your surgery. He doesn't rush you. He listened to all my long list of questions. He gave me exactly what I wanted. The fact that you can text him with any questions is amazing as well. I highly recommend him. I saw Dr. hedden the next day after surgery, he was awesome as well. Both surgeons are kind and professional. I have no complaints and nothing negative to say about either surgeon.The only one negative experience with having my surgery at Hedden plastic surgery is the nurses. They are rude and are not just not kind and warm which is what you expect with a nurse. My pre op nurse was sweet, my post op nurse was terrible. She didn't help me at all it was actually the receptionist( with the British accent) that offered me water and crackers after surgery. my post op nurse was complaining that everyone left her, complaining about her children as well. (I don't know her name but shes middle aged with brown hair) This was while I was waking up after surgery. I did hear her say that Dr Gunn called to check on me so that made me feel better. They could use new nurses but overall my experience was positive. The surgeons are amazing so don't let the nurses stop you from having surgery with them."

"I had breast augmentation and Smartlipo to my inner and outer thighs. I am 34 years old and wanted lipo for many years. I went for my consultation in August. I knew immediately that I wanted both procedures and Dr. Hedden to be the one to do them.
I was the first surgery of the day. I was very nervous but excited. Dr. Hedden came in the room and we discussed a lot of things. Dr. Hedden was wonderful! I trusted his knowledge and experience, and went with 450cc. He was right! I would have been very disappointed with 350cc to 375cc.
It has only been a little over four months since my surgery, but I can tell you it has changed my life! I look so much better in my clothes. I have a lot more confidence. I am so glad that I did it! This is one of the best things I have ever done for myself and worth it."
"Amazing! - I had weight loss surgery in 2012 and I lost over 200 pounds and surprisingly I lost all self confidence. My breast were nothing but hanging skin and I was not happy with how I looked without clothes on. I was ashamed of how I looked. I didn't feel like a woman anymore. I had debated on having breast augmentation for years. I was worried something bad would happen and I would come out botched. I was worried about the price and how I could pay for it. I convinced myself that it was something I was going to do so i started saving my money. "Breast lift (mastopexy) with augmentation - I am 33 years old and I’ve had self confidence issues for around 13 years because of super sagging flat breasts that had a wrinkled stretched raisin like appearance. After breast feeding my two children and my weight loss from 224 lbs to 160 lbs - I finally decided I had enough of my breasts looking the way they did. I had my breast surgery on 3/28/8. When I woke up from the surgery I was in an immense amount of pain but that faded over 3 days and I went back to work after 4 days. (Very light work duty) Right now I’m sitting at a little over a month since having them done. I chose silicone cohesive gel mentor implants filled with 450cc each. A little before 2 weeks my right breast had an allergic reaction to the adhesive of the steri strips so I took some steroids and tried to keep the steri strips on a little longer. I took the steri strips off just before the 3 week mark and the incisions looked a little scary, because of the scabbing but that’s normal. The scabs finally fell off and the incisions looked awesome for how little time had passed. At a month post op I sent my surgeon pictures and he said my nipples were still sitting a little low because the implants were still a little high. He instructed me to start massaging down so the implants would drop and give me a more natural look. I’ve also started using a scar treatment called ScarGard - it stinks something awful!! Overall I’m thrilled with how they look and can’t wait to see the final result! Updated on 4 Jun 2020:Just wanted to update with original pictures and results! One thing that I might change would be nipple size. (I would have had him cut them down a bit) It seems like once my nipples were cut lose, they relaxed and just stayed that way and now appear pretty large. I don’t have the “drawn up” movement ever - even when I’m cold. But overall, I feel like my scars are pretty minimal and my confidence has definitely improved."
"A Couple Years of Weight Loss and Working Out, Tummy Tuck Time - I had lots of loose skin after losing around 60 lbs over several years. I had been working out pretty hard as well. So I contacted Dr. Hedden, who was close by and seemed to be reviewed well. The whole thing was quite a process for sure, but I can now say that it was absolutely worth it. It was a little over a year ago now and I continue to see things flattening out. I weighed 220 lbs going into the tummy tuck and I weigh 214 now. I'm still working towards the weight I was as an athlete in college. One thing I will mention is that a tummy tuck is a major procedure, it takes a long time to truly get back to normal with it. You can get back to all your activities rather quickly but your body isn't going to settle back to normal for some time."
"Dirty 30 - I turned 30 this year and I've always wanted to get my boobs done but have always had a reason not to. This year I couldn't find a reason not to and finally took the plunge! Has anyone else used Nitro cream on their nipples? My doctor gave me a small supply to take home to help with nerve healing, and I've been using it religiously! I just ran out this morning though. Anyhow I'll post some update photos soon! Updated on 28 Mar 2018:So tomorrow will officially make a week post op and I'm itching to get back to my normal routine, going to the gym, and picking up my son! Unfortunately, because I'm not quite there, I have to do other things to occupy my time. I worked a 13 hour shift yesterday and it wasn't too bad. I felt a bit woozy mid day and sat for a little bit and felt better. My chest did feel really heavy today though, not painful, just heavy! I decided I needed to find a more supportive sports bra. I tried some at Target, Kohls, and then Ross before settling on a Puma sports bra that I'm not sure is the best fit but it's the best I could find. I knew going in to this that having a small rib cage and wanting tobe "so busty" was going to be a challenge when it came to clothing, bras, and bathing suits but the pros outweighed the cons! I have always had a large chest 34F at my largest size, but my weight has always fluctuated and the first thing to come or go with my weight was my breasts. And then after three kids and finally getting down to a size five...my poor deflated boobs could probably be rolled up to fit in to a C cup. Anyhow! I tried some clothes on for fun today while looking for a bra, and I always send pictures to my husband while he stands out and waits for me ;) ! Im definitely still swollen, my left side has dropped a little more than the right, but I'm still super happy with my results. I have sharp shooting pains occasionally but nothing horrible. I went back to my the gym today but didn't doing anything the made my arms or band strain. Finding a bra is difficult but I settled on a Victoria secret dream angel 36DDD."

I'm finally pleased to say, I've decided to go with Dr. William Hedden (Birmingham, AL). I've read his reviews, viewed pictures, and the location is fairly close to me (about 1 or 2 hours). Drainage is a clear yellow fluid now, which is a good thing. I'm hoping Dr. Hedden will remove the drainage on my second follow-up, Tuesday, April 17, 2018. "BBL in Birmingham Alabama - I was unhappy with the shape of my bottom. Wanting some butt work done ages ago, I decided to go ahead and move forward with the bbl before I got any older, I am 43 and have had five children. After much research on cosmetic surgeons in my area, I decided to use Hedden Plastic Surgery Center’s Dr. Gunn. The nurses were wonderful and Dr. Gunn was very knowledgeable and nice. "I had breast implants last year. I had been struggling with this decision for years. I have always been overweight. I made a deal with myself that if I lost the weight I would go ahead with the surgery. After my second child, I weighed 189 lbs and was a size 14. It took a year but I lost 40 lbs and got down to a size 8. Losing the weight also affected my breast size. I was a small B and after I lost weight I became a small A.
My cousin referred me to Dr. Hedden. I went for a consultation and felt totally comfortable with him and his staff. I tried on sizers and decided on a full C to small D. I did a lot of research and scheduled my surgery for the end of May.

"I have been overweight all my life. I was 49 years old, weighed 289 lbs, and extremely depressed. My feet, legs, hips and especially my back hurt. I wore a size 22/24 and my feet swelled so that I could only wear one pair of dress shoes comfortably and without embarassment. I considered gastric bypass surgery for a couple of years and had just witnessed one of my best friends go through it with great success.
I made the decision to have the bypass surgery, lost 150 lbs and felt great. I was wearing a size 6-8 and looked pretty good in clothes.
I was very happy but the weight loss left my 50 year old body with a lot of excess skin. My breasts, which had previously been a 42 DDD, had become what my fiancé termed as "36 LONGS." I had mild discomfort but it was nothing like what had been described by other people who "knew someone who had had the surgery and couldn't move for 6 weeks." I did just what the doctor ordered and had very little discomfort even having both procedures at once. The staff at Dr. Hedden's office marveled at my recovery time.
I am now a happy 36D with a very flat tummy. I love my new body and have been able to shop at Victoria's Secret for more than just the lotions! I will be going back for the other two procedures (legs and arms). Maybe after that I will have a facelift … after all I am 51 years old now!
