"Dr. Gunn is awesome to say the least! He done my breast implants and I’m so happy I chose him to do them. After the surgery, I took a short nap then got up, went shopping and to a movie with my husband. Dr. Gunn was very thorough and answered any and every question I had! "I had a breast augmentation with Dr. Hedden 05/07/24. From the virtual consult (I’m an out of state pt) forward I had nothing but a great experience! Their out of town coordinator, Heather, is such a pleasure and does her job very well! I had consults at other practices but no one made me feel as if they were confident in their ability to give me what I wanted except for Dr. Hedden. I’m 4 weeks post op and only wish I had done this sooner!! As a 37yr old mom of 3, my breast volume had decreased. Dr. Hedden has given me a great deal of confidence in my body. I’m able to actually fill out to top part of a bra now! He answered all of my questions, addressed my concerns, and never made me feel like I was just another procedure under his belt. We are dropping pretty quickly. I was pretty deflated before my augmentation as you can see in my previous photos. So when you have previous deflating from breast feeding or weight loss, you tend to drop a little faster since the loose skin is more able to adapt to the implant versus tight skin. My incisions are pretty unnoticeable from a glance. Hats off to my surgeon for that. I’m healing great and I’m looking forward to seeing my final results. More updates next week! "A Whole New Me! - What a life-changing experience with Dr. Halka! As a 45-year-old woman, wife, and mother, I finally realized that taking care of myself IS taking care of my family. I decided to put myself and my health first for a change and set a goal to lose the excess weight I've been carrying around my entire life. With bariatric surgery, a complete lifestyle change to a low-carb diet, and 4-6 intense 5 am workouts weekly, I lost 110 pounds and have maintained the loss for two and a half years. This was ah-mazing! However, after two years of hard work and dedication, my body was still a saggy, floppy mess even after the incredible weight loss. I met with Dr. Halka, who was very thorough and took his time explaining everything, answering all of my questions, and addressing all of my concerns. I went on two other consultations in Huntsville, AL, and Chattanooga, TN as those locations are closer to my home, but ultimately, I chose Dr. Halka's plan for the procedure and recovery because it was the best. We decided on a 360 body lift with muscle repair and lipo, breast augmentation with 500 cc Mentor silicone implants placed above the muscle, and fat transfer to the buttocks. The procedure went smoothly with no complications, and I followed the post-op instructions to the letter. Now, 12 weeks post-op, I am incredibly happy with my results. Dr. Halka didn't just perform a Mommy Makeover, he created a whole new version of me. I'm in the best shape of my life and finally, at 47 years of age, I feel confident, beautiful, and comfortable in my skin. I'm incredibly grateful for Dr. Halka's kindness, talent, and expertise. "I almost didn’t try this doctor because of a negative review talking about “how rude” the staff was. I have been to this facility many times and not once have they been rude. Thankfully I didn’t listen to that person. I’ve had a breast augmentation, tummy tuck, and lipo from Dr Gunn back in May of this year, and he did an excellent job! I’m actually scheduled to go back next year for some extra surgery. I am so glad after researching many doctors, I went with this one. I had such a good feeling when I walked into the building. The staff is kind and helpful, the doctors are upfront, patient, and kind, and the whole process of the surgery was flawless. Highly recommend"
"Finally Got my Breasts Done !! I'm So Happy ! - I finally got my breast augmentation after wanting it for yearsss. I paid for my surgery in April .. Scheduled it in Birmingham, Alabama for July 23rd. The day of surgery was pretty smooth. I was nervous but the anesthesia knocked me out within minutes ! It wasn't as bad as most people said it would be. Just a lot of tightness and pressure. I went with 550CC on the left and 525CC on the right. Before surgery, I was either a 32DD OR A 34D. NOW I'm either a 36DDD or a 38DD. My only Advice is if u want your breasts done DO IT ! IT IS SOO WORTH IT. If u do decide to do it , get plenty of rest! Take someone with u that u can definitely depend on to help u . Let people help u! I will update u guys as time passes. "Questions for other tummy tuckers - I have wanted a tummy tuck for as long as I can remember and I was finally able to do with the help of Dr. Stephen Gunn. I love him, Dr. Hedden, and their staff. I wouldn't go anywhere else! I had a revised breast augmentation, tummy tuck, and lipo.I had my surgery on 8/10/19. I spent the night in Birmingham the night before my surgery and the night of my surgery so we didn't have to get up as early the morning of the surgery. I had very little anxiety the night before. It was more excitement. We got to the surgery center and were called back in a reasonable amount of time. They began prepping me and I went back within about an hour of arriving (I was the first patient that day). I went in the OR and the next thing I know I'm waking up to go back to the hotel. I was in some pain and could not stand upright, naturally. I highly recommend the Exparel shot - worth the extra money. My husband had my meds filled and kept my meds coming on schedule, day and night, for the first few days to stay "on top of" the pain. My recovery has been pretty unremarkable, but I am 10 days out and I am having so much hypersensitivity. I seem to be having a pity party today. Luckily I have read that this is somewhat normal, which makes me feel better. :) My skin literally hurts! I called and they said that was normal and would go away with time. The drains are also on my last nerve (hopefully will come out Sept 4 - 2 weeks is enough!). They are hurting more than anything else. I can't find anything to wear that will cover them up, so I'm stuck at home and going stir crazy. I may be having a reaction to some of the tape, because it is itching me to death. Lastly, they should make these binders in petite. Because I'm so short, mine rides up so bad and doesn't cover everything it needs to. I struggle with it constantly.Now, I am finished with my pity party and the "bad" and will continue with the "good." I am very pleased with my results. Are my results perfect? No, but there was so much to go from where I was to perfect, I'm completely happy with what I have. My only concern is that there is a distinct line at my hips, almost like saddle bags. I'm hoping that it is just swelling, but again, if that is all I have to deal with, I am still pretty "pumped" about my flat tummy.Do any of you have similar experiences with hypersensitivity or pain in the drain? Please share. Thank you.Updated on 4 Sep 2019:Went back for my two week appointment today.... He only took out one of the two drains. I was so disappointed, but I held in the tears while I was there. These drains are so irritating and are hurting so bad. I am thankful to get rid of one. He thought if he pulled both of them, I would have too much swelling above my belly button and it could cause me problems. I know it is for the best in the end. I go back next week to take stitches out of my BB and, hopefully, to get this other drain out.After the disappointment at the office, I decided to do a little retail therapy since I literally haven't been in real clothes in two weeks. It was much needed, but now I'm suffering from the swelling. Luckily, I don't have much to do tomorrow, so I can lay around and try to get rid of the swell hell."

"I finally got my breast augmentation after wanting it for yearsss. I paid for my surgery in April .. Scheduled it in Birmingham, Alabama for July 23rd. The day of surgery was pretty smooth. I was nervous but the anesthesia knocked me out within minutes ! It wasn't as bad as most people said it would be. Just a lot of tightness and pressure. I went with 550CC on the left and 525CC on the right. Before surgery, I was either a 32DD OR A 34D. NOW I'm either a 36DDD or a 38DD. My only Advice is if u want your breasts done DO IT ! IT IS SOO WORTH IT. If u do decide to do it , get plenty of rest! Take someone with u that u can definitely depend on to help u . Let people help u! I will update u guys as time passes. Also, if u want to go the affordable way and get really good results , I would refer my doctor . Doctor Gunn or Doctor Hedden at Hedden & Gunn Plastic Surgery in Birmingham, Alabama. UPDATE — I will be 6 weeks post op on Friday ! My dressings on my stitches came off 3 weeks post op.. I started sleeping on my side about a couple weeks ago . My breasts definitely have dropped tremendously. Up until about a week ago , my breasts were extremely swollen (especially the right one).. but it gets better with time . Time definitely makes a huge difference & I am in love ! I can't wait to fully heal .
UPDATE — Hey guys .. just wanted to update u guys .. My actual bra size is 34i . I'm still shocked about that!. My boobs are super cute and natural looking now & they have became apart of me . I will update u guys as time passes .
UPDATE — Tomorrow will officially be 1 year since my breast augmentation .. I found out that I have Natrelle implants .. I had 465cc on the right filled to 525cc and 500cc on the left filled to 550cc .. i love my boobs !! They have completely dropped and everything .. I forget that they are even there!! If u are considering getting them done , this is your sign !!"
