"2 days Post Breast Augmentation - I'm on day 2 of recovery from my breast augmentation. It's honestly not as bad as I thought it would be. The only parts that suck are feeling like potato( you literally can't do anything), and that the muscle relaxers make you super sleepy. Stopped taking the pain meds i was prescribed and switched to Tylenol because I didn't like the way Norcos made me feel. My chest feels sore and tight and still very swollen. But this is all to be expected. Dr. Hedden at Hedden and Gunn plastic surgery center was amazing. All of the staff did a great job with me. It was an all around amazing experience. I started out at large A/small B and asked to be a D. He did 450cc on each side. Smooth, round, high profile silicone. More updates to come! *they look shiny because I've been applying vitamin E to try to prevent stretch marks *Updated on 25 Apr 2024:Dropping more and more everyday. Liking the results so far. Still a little sore and swollen. Feeling to the nerves becomes more painful by the day and it’s causing a bit of discomfort but nothing major. Usually subsides by week 3. "Amazing LBL with MR and Fat Transfer to Buttocks - After 4 babies and a weight loss of 80lbs, finally decided it was time to get rid of some skin. Went in thinking mommy makeover. Dr Halka told me he didn’t think the tummy tuck results would make me happy and recommended the lower body lift. I was concerned about it flattening out my butt so he also suggested the fat transfer. I could not be more pleased with the results. I cried the first time I saw my new tummy. Best money I’ve ever spent. Totally worth it!! He has been wonderful through the entire process. "A Whole New Me! - What a life-changing experience with Dr. Halka! As a 45-year-old woman, wife, and mother, I finally realized that taking care of myself IS taking care of my family. I decided to put myself and my health first for a change and set a goal to lose the excess weight I've been carrying around my entire life. With bariatric surgery, a complete lifestyle change to a low-carb diet, and 4-6 intense 5 am workouts weekly, I lost 110 pounds and have maintained the loss for two and a half years. This was ah-mazing! However, after two years of hard work and dedication, my body was still a saggy, floppy mess even after the incredible weight loss. "Meticulously re-designed my body to the best I feel it can be! - I am a massive bariatric weight loss surgery patient. I’ve lost 158 lbs! I exercised the entire time during my journey but was left with flapping skin on my arms, and massive excessive skin everywhere. I interviewed surgeons, and Dr. Halka was my chosen surgeon and I couldn’t be happier with my decision. He was ‘The One!”. The following appointments were pretty quick, and overall, the price was reasonable for what I had done. They were very straight forward about pricing and everything involved with the surgery. They also have good post surgery support, which I appreciated. I really liked that they have an after hours line for any problems you may have, and I could get in touch with an on call nurse who actually answers if I had any issues. I recommend them. "bbl review - I recently had surgery on 9/9/22. I had lipo 360 w/ BBL. After gaining some weight, I wasn't happy with my body anymore. Despite diet and exercise, I still couldn't get the shape I wanted due to mostly fat on my waist. Originally, I was only going to get lipo done but figured I might as well use the fat while I have it since it's going to lipoed off anyways. I'm currently 3 weeks post op but the pictures I'm posting are from 2 weeks. Overall, I'm extremely happy with my results and finally have the body I've always dreamed of.Updated on 2 Oct 2021:I don’t have many good before pics on my phone, so I tried to do the best I could. I traveled from Memphis to Birmingham just to see him and I’m very pleased - i had my very first breast implants & lift w/ Dr. Hedden. a lot of my friends went to him so it was a no brainer for me. i traveled from Memphis to Birmingham just to see him and i’m very pleased. i’m 7 days post op, had very minimal bruising. he’s straight to the point but listens to your needs as well. his staff is very kind & informative. i will definitely be returning for a nose job once i get the boobs paid off :)"
"BBL with dr.gunn - I had my BBL and 4 areas of lipo by Dr Gunn. I'm three weeks weeks post op. I'll start off by saying that I'm super happy with my results and I think Dr Gunn is an amazing surgeon! He's compassionate, he listens to what you want and is straight forward with helping you to be realistic about your surgery. He doesn't rush you. He listened to all my long list of questions. He gave me exactly what I wanted. The fact that you can text him with any questions is amazing as well. I highly recommend him. I saw Dr. hedden the next day after surgery, he was awesome as well. Both surgeons are kind and professional. I have no complaints and nothing negative to say about either surgeon.The only one negative experience with having my surgery at Hedden plastic surgery is the nurses. They are rude and are not just not kind and warm which is what you expect with a nurse. My pre op nurse was sweet, my post op nurse was terrible. She didn't help me at all it was actually the receptionist( with the British accent) that offered me water and crackers after surgery. my post op nurse was complaining that everyone left her, complaining about her children as well. (I don't know her name but shes middle aged with brown hair) This was while I was waking up after surgery. I did hear her say that Dr Gunn called to check on me so that made me feel better. They could use new nurses but overall my experience was positive. The surgeons are amazing so don't let the nurses stop you from having surgery with them."

"Consult Review: Dr. Gunn is Great! .. Will Update Post Op! - Dr. Gunn is really nice and knowledgeable. I'm fairly thin (5'3 124 lbs) and we are going to do the bbl with fat transfer to the hips. He was fully transparent to the fact that I do not have a lot of fat to graft but he thinks he could give me the results I'm looking for. I had my consult maybe 3 weeks ago. I was excited, and then I got a little anxious so I blew up his phone and emails with questions. He and his nurses were really cool about it. He answered my questions and assured me that he would take as much fat as he could but more than likely, I wouldn't have a huge bubble butt. Which I'm ok with. I'm scheduled for surgery in 3 weeks. Will keep you updated!Updated on 4 Apr 2020:I’m 7 weeks post op. The surgery went well. The first week was torture. It was awful. After that everything was cool. My follow ups were cool. Dr. Gunn and his staff were really kind. I wasn’t expecting a huge transformation because I was a thin woman to began with. My first week out of surgery my results were just amazing. I still look at the pics in my phone just to reminisce. However, we the swelling went down, so did my excitement. Lol. I still look good, just not much different than I did before. My friends all say they can’t see where anything was done. Which for some can be a good thing! Right now I’m working on picking up more weight. Hopefully that will help everything look more pronounced. If that doesn’t work, I’ll just take the L but I’m definitely not considering a round 2. As far as experience is concerned, it was great. The pre op was simple. The surgery was fast. When I got there, it ran like a well oiled machine. My only complaint is my results and I guess I can’t blame anyone for a fast metabolism. It’s a gift and a curse. Well, now that I’ve added photos, I guess I can tell a little. If you squint and turn your head to the side. Haha."
"I had breast augmentation and Smartlipo to my inner and outer thighs. I am 34 years old and wanted lipo for many years. I went for my consultation in August. I knew immediately that I wanted both procedures and Dr. Hedden to be the one to do them.
I was the first surgery of the day. I was very nervous but excited. Dr. Hedden came in the room and we discussed a lot of things. Dr. Hedden was wonderful! I trusted his knowledge and experience, and went with 450cc. He was right! I would have been very disappointed with 350cc to 375cc.
It has only been a little over four months since my surgery, but I can tell you it has changed my life! I look so much better in my clothes. I have a lot more confidence. I am so glad that I did it! This is one of the best things I have ever done for myself and worth it."
"Amazing! - I had weight loss surgery in 2012 and I lost over 200 pounds and surprisingly I lost all self confidence. My breast were nothing but hanging skin and I was not happy with how I looked without clothes on. I was ashamed of how I looked. I didn't feel like a woman anymore. I had debated on having breast augmentation for years. I was worried something bad would happen and I would come out botched. I was worried about the price and how I could pay for it. "Consultation review: Wouldn’t show pictures of previous BBL’s - I went to see him April 2019. Wait time was short and he is a nice man. He answered my questions, but I didn’t feel completely comfortable with his answers because some didn’t coincide with research I’ve. done on Bbl, lipo/tummy tucks. While there I asked to see pictures of some of his work (Bbl’s), but he blew me off and asked me to email him and he would send some. We ended the consultation and his nurse gave me the cost. I emailed him as soon as I got in my car in his office parking lot...that was a Monday. I waited a couple days but he didn't reply, so I emailed him again on Wednesday...still no reply. I waited through the weekend and no reply, so I emailed a third time the following Monday..still no reply from Dr. Gunn. Needless to say he’s not the doctor that should do my BBL...disappointing to say the least.Updated on 29 Jun 2019:Since my initial post, Dr. Gunn reached out to me via email and left me his cell number. I called and he did not give me any empty excuses, but admitted that he dropped the ball, was very apologetic, and asked how he could “make it right” if I was still interested. During our conversation, I could sense his sincerity...he answered more questions, immediately sent pictures of previous BBL’s, so my surgery date is July 16. I am nervous, but excited. I’m not that anxious about the lipo, but I am about the BBL. I’m a very petite person and I want a great, natural looking butt to compliment my size. He assured me that I would be happy... I hope so! I would like to have my surgery sooner than 7/16, but he was booked, therefore I am the move-up list if there is a cancellation. "Breast lift (mastopexy) with augmentation - I am 33 years old and I’ve had self confidence issues for around 13 years because of super sagging flat breasts that had a wrinkled stretched raisin like appearance. After breast feeding my two children and my weight loss from 224 lbs to 160 lbs - I finally decided I had enough of my breasts looking the way they did. I had my breast surgery on 3/28/8. When I woke up from the surgery I was in an immense amount of pain but that faded over 3 days and I went back to work after 4 days. (Very light work duty) Right now I’m sitting at a little over a month since having them done. I chose silicone cohesive gel mentor implants filled with 450cc each. A little before 2 weeks my right breast had an allergic reaction to the adhesive of the steri strips so I took some steroids and tried to keep the steri strips on a little longer. I took the steri strips off just before the 3 week mark and the incisions looked a little scary, because of the scabbing but that’s normal. The scabs finally fell off and the incisions looked awesome for how little time had passed. At a month post op I sent my surgeon pictures and he said my nipples were still sitting a little low because the implants were still a little high. He instructed me to start massaging down so the implants would drop and give me a more natural look. I’ve also started using a scar treatment called ScarGard - it stinks something awful!! Overall I’m thrilled with how they look and can’t wait to see the final result! Updated on 4 Jun 2020:Just wanted to update with original pictures and results! One thing that I might change would be nipple size. (I would have had him cut them down a bit) It seems like once my nipples were cut lose, they relaxed and just stayed that way and now appear pretty large. I don’t have the “drawn up” movement ever - even when I’m cold. But overall, I feel like my scars are pretty minimal and my confidence has definitely improved."
"Good experience - Dr. Gunn was very nice and answered my long list of questions at our consultation. I went for a BBL, I was very nervous thinking about surgery and risks but he made me feel me comfortable after meeting with him. I decided to schedule the surgery and had it done on 4/20. I thought I would have really bad anxiety that day but I didn’t. When I got there I filled out a little paperwork then was called back. A nurse took before pictures and shortly after Dr. Gunn went over the surgery and made drawings on me. The nurse started my IV and I spoke with the anesthesiologist who was very nice, he put some medicine in my IV and walked me to the OR. I got on the table, took a few breaths from an oxygen mask and I was out! I’ve had a few questions for him throughout my recovery and he has been very easy to get ahold of and I will be seeing him again soon for my 2 week post op appointment! So far, I’m happy with my results. I have a flat tummy and although I wish my butt and hips were a bit bigger, I didn’t have as much fat I had hoped to graft there."
"A Couple Years of Weight Loss and Working Out, Tummy Tuck Time - I had lots of loose skin after losing around 60 lbs over several years. I had been working out pretty hard as well. So I contacted Dr. Hedden, who was close by and seemed to be reviewed well. The whole thing was quite a process for sure, but I can now say that it was absolutely worth it. It was a little over a year ago now and I continue to see things flattening out. I weighed 220 lbs going into the tummy tuck and I weigh 214 now. I felt a bit woozy mid day and sat for a little bit and felt better. My chest did feel really heavy today though, not painful, just heavy! I decided I needed to find a more supportive sports bra. I tried some at Target, Kohls, and then Ross before settling on a Puma sports bra that I'm not sure is the best fit but it's the best I could find. I knew going in to this that having a small rib cage and wanting tobe "so busty" was going to be a challenge when it came to clothing, bras, and bathing suits but the pros outweighed the cons! I have always had a large chest 34F at my largest size, but my weight has always fluctuated and the first thing to come or go with my weight was my breasts. And then after three kids and finally getting down to a size five...my poor deflated boobs could probably be rolled up to fit in to a C cup. Anyhow! I tried some clothes on for fun today while looking for a bra, and I always send pictures to my husband while he stands out and waits for me ;) ! Im definitely still swollen, my left side has dropped a little more than the right, but I'm still super happy with my results. "BBL in Birmingham Alabama - I was unhappy with the shape of my bottom. Wanting some butt work done ages ago, I decided to go ahead and move forward with the bbl before I got any older, I am 43 and have had five children. "I had breast implants last year. I had been struggling with this decision for years. I have always been overweight. I made a deal with myself that if I lost the weight I would go ahead with the surgery. After my second child, I weighed 189 lbs and was a size 14. It took a year but I lost 40 lbs and got down to a size 8. Losing the weight also affected my breast size. I was a small B and after I lost weight I became a small A.
My cousin referred me to Dr. Hedden. I went for a consultation and felt totally comfortable with him and his staff. I tried on sizers and decided on a full C to small D. I did a lot of research and scheduled my surgery for the end of May.
On the day of surgery, I was nervous and excited at the same time. I did not have to wait very long. The surgery itself was fine. I do not remember much pain at all. We had to drive an hour back home and I slept most of the way. My mom kept my children for a few days, so I had plenty of time to rest. I was so concerned with nausea that I would eat crackers every hour. I did not get sick once. I was off from work a total of five days.
The first look at them scared me to death. My husband and I took pictures to compare day by day the progress. It took a while but they softened up a lot in a matter of weeks. After six weeks, I wore a tank top for the first time in 15 years.

"I have been overweight all my life. I was 49 years old, weighed 289 lbs, and extremely depressed. My feet, legs, hips and especially my back hurt. I wore a size 22/24 and my feet swelled so that I could only wear one pair of dress shoes comfortably and without embarassment. I considered gastric bypass surgery for a couple of years and had just witnessed one of my best friends go through it with great success.
I made the decision to have the bypass surgery, lost 150 lbs and felt great. I was wearing a size 6-8 and looked pretty good in clothes.
I was very happy but the weight loss left my 50 year old body with a lot of excess skin. My breasts, which had previously been a 42 DDD, had become what my fiancé termed as "36 LONGS." My first night was spent in a hotel room so that I could be close to Dr. Hedden's office in case of an emergency. My fiancé stayed with me, helped me to the restroom and cared for me. I had mild discomfort but it was nothing like what had been described by other people who "knew someone who had had the surgery and couldn't move for 6 weeks." I did just what the doctor ordered and had very little discomfort even having both procedures at once. The staff at Dr. Hedden's office marveled at my recovery time.
I am now a happy 36D with a very flat tummy. I love my new body and have been able to shop at Victoria's Secret for more than just the lotions! I will be going back for the other two procedures (legs and arms). Maybe after that I will have a facelift … after all I am 51 years old now!

"I had weight loss surgery in 2012 and I lost over 200 pounds and surprisingly I lost all self confidence.
