"Easy recovery and very satisfied with my results - Dr Hedden did a fantastic job in June of 2022 I had a plus size tummy tuck with lipo to flanks and upper abdomen as well as a breast augmentation. I had tuberous breast deformity and was scheduled to also have a lift at time of the original surgery. There is always a risk that they cannot complete the lift due to something I can’t recall. But I had 450 cc saline implants put in and my breast looked pretty awful due to my deformation. He released the bands and they settled in and turned out we could get away with not doing a lift but since they had stretched I could then do a swap to silicone and opted for 750 cc which look extremely natural. Having two surgeries to get them where I wanted was understandable and worth it. My recovery was easy just follow all instructions. I am very satisfied with my results."
"I highly recommend Dr Hedden. When I was considering having a tummy tuck to tighten loose skin, I had a lot of questions and wanted to make sure I chose the right doctor. I called a friend who previously worked for Dr. Hedden. She went on and on about what a skilled physician he was and how talented he was. When I went in for my consultation, he sat down and we discussed everything about the surgery and what I could expect post surgery. I had a lot of questions and he took plenty of time to answer them all. I even asked him about another procedure that I was curious about and he told me I didn’t need it. "Awesome Tummy Tuck - I had an abdominoplasty May 28 and it was one of the best decisions I’ve ever made. It was worth every penny and I would do it all over again. The patient coordinator (Heather) answered all of my questions and assured me I would be just fine and completely satisfied and boy was she right! Prior to my surgery I watched a lot of videos and read so many reviews. I was prepared for the worst pain however my experience was completely different. I had some discomfort but over all nothing intolerable. Dr. Hedden did an amazing job. At my post op Appt the day after surgery I was already in love with my results and it keeps getting better. "I am a 31 year old mother of 5 who had been wishing for younger looking breasts and a flatter, tighter stomach for a while. I was very self conscious about the way I looked in and out of clothes! There always seemed to be something too bulgy, too droopy, too ugly. The worst was how my poor self image affected my private life with my wonderful husband and how my children always heard their mom speaking poorly of herself.

"Questions for other tummy tuckers - I have wanted a tummy tuck for as long as I can remember and I was finally able to do with the help of Dr. Stephen Gunn. I love him, Dr. Hedden, and their staff. I wouldn't go anywhere else! I had a revised breast augmentation, tummy tuck, and lipo.I had my surgery on 8/10/19. I spent the night in Birmingham the night before my surgery and the night of my surgery so we didn't have to get up as early the morning of the surgery. I had very little anxiety the night before. It was more excitement. We got to the surgery center and were called back in a reasonable amount of time. They began prepping me and I went back within about an hour of arriving (I was the first patient that day). I went in the OR and the next thing I know I'm waking up to go back to the hotel. I was in some pain and could not stand upright, naturally. I highly recommend the Exparel shot - worth the extra money. My husband had my meds filled and kept my meds coming on schedule, day and night, for the first few days to stay "on top of" the pain. My recovery has been pretty unremarkable, but I am 10 days out and I am having so much hypersensitivity. I seem to be having a pity party today. Luckily I have read that this is somewhat normal, which makes me feel better. :) My skin literally hurts! I called and they said that was normal and would go away with time. The drains are also on my last nerve (hopefully will come out Sept 4 - 2 weeks is enough!). They are hurting more than anything else. I can't find anything to wear that will cover them up, so I'm stuck at home and going stir crazy. I may be having a reaction to some of the tape, because it is itching me to death. Lastly, they should make these binders in petite. Because I'm so short, mine rides up so bad and doesn't cover everything it needs to. I struggle with it constantly.Now, I am finished with my pity party and the "bad" and will continue with the "good." I am very pleased with my results. Are my results perfect? No, but there was so much to go from where I was to perfect, I'm completely happy with what I have. My only concern is that there is a distinct line at my hips, almost like saddle bags. I'm hoping that it is just swelling, but again, if that is all I have to deal with, I am still pretty "pumped" about my flat tummy.Do any of you have similar experiences with hypersensitivity or pain in the drain? Please share. Thank you.Updated on 4 Sep 2019:Went back for my two week appointment today.... He only took out one of the two drains. I was so disappointed, but I held in the tears while I was there. These drains are so irritating and are hurting so bad. I am thankful to get rid of one. He thought if he pulled both of them, I would have too much swelling above my belly button and it could cause me problems. I know it is for the best in the end. I go back next week to take stitches out of my BB and, hopefully, to get this other drain out.After the disappointment at the office, I decided to do a little retail therapy since I literally haven't been in real clothes in two weeks. It was much needed, but now I'm suffering from the swelling. Luckily, I don't have much to do tomorrow, so I can lay around and try to get rid of the swell hell."
"5'8" 550 CC's under the muscle saline biplaner - I have been wanting breast implants for around 15 years. And now my opportunity to get them has arrived! I have researched surgeons for months and found one I'm very happy with, that even before I scheduled my surgery returned my emails, even on the weekends. (I didn't expect a response until Monday, but how amazing) Since I live out of state from my surgeon I have spoken with numerous helpful associates and I have an in person consultation on the 25th. My surgery is scheduled for the 26th and I am so absolutely excited/scared. I still have some things to do on my to do list before my husband and I leave and I'm trying to get the rest of my list done today. As I work tomorrow and my husband and I leave after work. I was opting to get a tummy tuck first but decided to go with implants. I'm wanting saline implants under the muscle. I wanted to do a lift but I'm going to try implants first because a lift is more complicated and I have kids and a job to recover quickly for. My problem is I don't know how many CC's to get!? I'm 5'9" and I want to be around a dcup but I want them to look natural, not like melons. Lol I'm a small b now. Any advice???Updated on 6 Jul 2019:I had an amazing experience with Dr. Hedden. I had searched and searched for months trying to find just the right surgeon. I looked on here, read Google reviews, everything I could. I am so thrilled I decided on him. His staff and the nurses were all so kind and ready to help and made me feel so comfortable throughout the whole process. He gave me all the time I needed at the consultation to decide on a size and he has given me exactly what I wanted, even when I didn't understand all the details of how everything worked. He is extremely knowledgeable, knows what he is talking about, and is great at explaining everything. I'm so happy with the whole process. I had alot of questions after the surgery and always had prompt responses to help me and give me advice on everything. I love them and I love my results and will definitely be returning! I really can't say enough about Dr. Hedden and everyone there!!!Updated on 12 Jul 2019:I'm going to try to write this fast because it's gotten deleted two times already and I am tired of trying to get this to post. I have had five children I am 35 years old I got 550 cc's I'm extremely happy with them. The first week of recovery was hell. I thought after having five kids I would be able to bounce back pretty quickly but that was not the case I have been very sore very swollen. I started my massages early about a week after my surgery I started massaging and I do massage more than what's even recommended because I really want a good outcome from this. With all the sagging I have I was offered who left as well but I decided against that and I just went with implants and I got a biplanar position sothe implants should move down and look natural I'm still waiting for them to completely drop and fluff. I love them so far I'm extremely happy with the outcome I feel better about myself I'm going to be able to wear the bathing suits I want the shirts I want I have more confidence I'm very happy that I did this for myself. Sorry my pictures have been out of order but I'm very frustrated right now because some will load and some will not and yeah"

The tummy tuck area is sore and if I move wrong it burns like a mother. My breast are filly high right but they will drop some so I am not to worried. The doc was great and answered all my questions, I go back in a week for the drains to be removedUpdated on 28 May 2019:So 3 weeks out, I will say the TT is the easiest thing out of all of this. I got the Experal (I think that’s how you spell it) shot and let me tell you, best $500 ever spent. My right breast is dropping slower then the left and I have a bit more pain in them then anything. I will say my back pain is the worse, I know it’s from how I am having to bend because of the muscle tightening. I am back at work, this was harder then I thought and needed more time off then I planned. I am lucky and have a very understanding boss so that’s not been a problem. My final drain tube will be out by then end of this week and I can’t wait. So far loving my flat tummy and I have curves now!!!!Updated on 30 May 2019:Well I underestimated the level of pain. My breast are super sore and the right is worse then the left. The binder is causing my back to be sore and my muscles to spasm. I am still not back to work. The left breast has dropped some but my right is not moving at all. I go back to my PS tomorrow so I hope he can tell me if this is all normal.Updated on 18 Jun 2019:I am finally feeling human. "Breast Augmentation and Tummy Tuck - My experience with Dr. Hedden was great from start to finish.I called to schedule a consultation and had my first appointment two weeks later. I was going to discuss breast augmentation. I didn't know what was best for me but after meeting him and talking for just a few minutes, he knew exactly what I needed and what would be best for me. That was a relief in itself because I was so nervous and I didn't want to make a bad decision. After discussing breast augmentation, I asked him about options for my stomach and he recommended a full tummy tuck. "A Couple Years of Weight Loss and Working Out, Tummy Tuck Time - I had lots of loose skin after losing around 60 lbs over several years. I had been working out pretty hard as well. So I contacted Dr. Hedden, who was close by and seemed to be reviewed well. The whole thing was quite a process for sure, but I can now say that it was absolutely worth it. It was a little over a year ago now and I continue to see things flattening out. I weighed 220 lbs going into the tummy tuck and I weigh 214 now. I'm still working towards the weight I was as an athlete in college. One thing I will mention is that a tummy tuck is a major procedure, it takes a long time to truly get back to normal with it. You can get back to all your activities rather quickly but your body isn't going to settle back to normal for some time."

I'm finally pleased to say, I've decided to go with Dr. William Hedden (Birmingham, AL). I've read his reviews, viewed pictures, and the location is fairly close to me (about 1 or 2 hours). I did my virtual consultation about a month ago and Dr. Hedden answered within 48 hours. He answered my questions and as far as the staff goes, a nice lady called to do a follow-up and to put my file together, and to let me know whenever I was ready, they were more than happy to assist.Tuesday, March 20, 2018, I'll have my face-to-face consultation with Dr. Hedden. I will definitely keep you all posted with updates. Now I'm on the fence with getting both TT and BBL, only because the downtime from work, if I don't work, I don't get paid! So, I'm scheduled for April 11th. I decided to just go with the Tummy Tuck, Lipo (includes back flanks, lower back, and mid back). I paid for my deposit and bloodwork. My total $8800, minus the 10% and $35, so I make my final payment of $7885 on April 11th. I'm so excited and anxious. Dr. Hedden recommended I stay over night at a hotel close by because he wants to see me the following day.The staff and Dr. Hedden were all nice and they answered every question I had. I had a great vibe as soon as I walked in and said Good morning! I'll keep you all updated with pics at a later time.Updated on 16 Apr 2018:Hello all! I've finally made it to the flat side. My procedure was on April 11th had my first follow up on the following Thursday, April 12, 2018. The pain is at a low minimum, haven't taken any pain meds since last week. Drainage is a clear yellow fluid now, which is a good thing. I'm hoping Dr. Hedden will remove the drainage on my second follow-up, Tuesday, April 17, 2018. So far everything is healing well from my view. I'll post a few photos for now. Dr. Hedden and staff were awesome! Caring, Kind, Helpful, and Patient. I can shower now. In addition, I have to keep binder tight but I can wear a camisole or tank top underneath. Definitely dont want any excess fluid to build up. "I have been overweight all my life. I was 49 years old, weighed 289 lbs, and extremely depressed. My feet, legs, hips and especially my back hurt. I wore a size 22/24 and my feet swelled so that I could only wear one pair of dress shoes comfortably and without embarassment. I considered gastric bypass surgery for a couple of years and had just witnessed one of my best friends go through it with great success.
I made the decision to have the bypass surgery, lost 150 lbs and felt great. I was wearing a size 6-8 and looked pretty good in clothes.
I was very happy but the weight loss left my 50 year old body with a lot of excess skin. My breasts, which had previously been a 42 DDD, had become what my fiancé termed as "36 LONGS." After talking with Dr. Hedden, I decided to go up one cup size. That is a decision I do not regret.
I had the tummy tuck and breast lift with augmentation done in his office. The staff was wonderful and very professional. I was given a prescription for pain killers and muscle relaxers. My first night was spent in a hotel room so that I could be close to Dr. Hedden's office in case of an emergency. My fiancé stayed with me, helped me to the restroom and cared for me. I had mild discomfort but it was nothing like what had been described by other people who "knew someone who had had the surgery and couldn't move for 6 weeks." I did just what the doctor ordered and had very little discomfort even having both procedures at once. The staff at Dr. Hedden's office marveled at my recovery time.
I am now a happy 36D with a very flat tummy. I love my new body and have been able to shop at Victoria's Secret for more than just the lotions! I will be going back for the other two procedures (legs and arms). Maybe after that I will have a facelift … after all I am 51 years old now!
