"After losing almost a hundred pounds, I was left with extremely loose, sagging skin, and after consulting with three plastic surgeons, I decided to go with Dr. Halka. He is exceptionally kind and patient with all my questions and concerns, and I am so happy I chose him as my surgeon. He did my brachioplasty (arm lift) and breast lift 7 weeks ago, and I am thrilled with my results. My scars look fantastic, and I honestly can’t believe how wonderfully everything is healing. I’ve had zero problems or complications. Dr. Halka will be performing my next two surgeries, a lower body lift and a thigh lift, in the coming months, and I have no worries about my care and comfort in his hands. "I recently had breast reduction surgery by Dr. Halka on 1/31/25 and I could not be more pleased with my results! He did an amazing job, gave me exactly the smaller size I wanted with no complications. This is an excellent facility and the entire staff is amazing. Special shout out to Carol Crowe who helped me with my FMLA paperwork. She is so sweet, personable and professional. She made the best impression on me out of everyone, taking so much time helping me with a lot of my questions. All in all, a great experience. Highly recommend these wonderful folks"
"Dr. Halka and his staff at Hedden & Gunn Plastic Surgery in Birmingham, AL are AWESOME. After loosing 86 pounds, I had the lower body lift, arm lift, breast lift and augmentation procedures. Dr. Halka is a surgical sculptor who turned my body from a large ugly rectangle with lots of hanging skin; into a body with a beautiful shape and a waist. I am extremely happy with my body. "I have had three surgeries with Dr. Halka @ Hedden & Gunn. A lower body lift w/bbl in 03/2024 a breast lift w/ implants 07/2024 and an upper body lift 12/2024. I lost over 119 pounds with diet and exercise, I maintained the weight loss for two years and then started considering cosmetic surgery to remove the excess skin. My first consult was with a surgeon in Miami. I was nervous but paid a deposit then I thought perhaps I find a Doctor near where I live, which led me to Hedden and Gunn. I did a virtual consultation with Dr. Halka he was very thorough explaining every option in detail and even including photos of results from each surgery, He then recommended what he thought would be my best option. I then decided to meet with him in person and I could not be more glad that I did, with surgery there are many ups and downs but the care I have received by everyone at this facility has been beyond what I could have ever expected. I have said many times that I am so glad that I decided to have my surgery locally and not out of state (in my case) I am sure many surgeries go off without a hitch but to have the clinic and staff close by for any and every concern I have had has been the best option for me. I absolutely love my results, I could not have ever imagined better results even if I tried!"

"Dr. Joshua Halka is an amazing surgeon. I went in knowing what I wanted and Dr. Halka delivered. He gave me exactly what I was hoping for. I went in for a breast augmentation and showed him a picture of exactly what I wanted and he made it happen. I've never felt more myself than I do now thanks to him and his wonderful team. Every question I asked was answered. I live out of state and the whole process was so easy and fluid. The only think I didn't like was the wait to get it done (waiting for my surgery date to get here). Lol but that's on me for waiting so long. I look the best I ever have in my life. I went from an A cup to a D cup and they are stunning. I feel more womanly than I ever have in my life and the confidence has sky rocketed. Thank you for everything Dr. Halka! "I am seven weeks out from a breast lift performed by Dr. Halka and I am beyond pleased with the outcome. When I went for my consultation, Dr. Halka made me feel so comfortable. We went over the different types of breast surgeries and which one he felt was best for me. All the staff members have been so knowledgeable and kind especially Dr. Halka. He never made me feel rushed and answered all my questions both pre and post operation. My breasts were rather large and hung very low. My neck and shoulders were always tight and sore. Since I had the surgery, I no longer have pain in the neck and shoulder area. I highly recommend seeing Dr. Halka if you are interested in having a breast lift."

"I went for a consultation with Dr. Halka on 10/25 2023 because in my mammogram report one of my 34 year old breast implants was leaking silicon. Dr. Halka spent time with my husband and I and explained all of the different options I had. He answered all of our questions and had a very caring and knowledgeable presence about himself that my husband and I felt good about. I chose to have a capsulectomy with silicone implant replacement. Dr. Halka help me feel very confident about my decision and I was happy about having a choice in my care. He explained the complexity in the surgery in depth with us and let us know that I would probably need a breast lift that I could have 6 weeks after the capsulectomy. I had the surgery on 11/6/2023 with very little post op pain, and to say that I am completely satisfied is an understatement. He did a fantastic job. He did such a good job that I no longer need a breast lift. In fact his whole staff including his assistant Caroline and the entire OR team were wonderful. I do not usually refer Dr's but I highly recommend Dr Halka and his team. I have faith you won't be disappointed."
