"My name is Courtney. I am 25 years old, 5'2" and weigh 110 pounds. I had breast augmentation one month ago. I originally was a 34 A-B and am currently a 34 full C.
I considered this procedure for approximately 5 years and finally decided to proceed. It just seemed like the right time to go through with it.
I have to say the whole experience was much easier than I thought it would be. It was less painful than I thought and was really just an uncomfortable feeling. It felt like I had worked out too much at the gym and had a muscle pull. I was very sore but I only needed my pain medication for the first 3 days. I had horrible back aches from the pressure which I did not realize would occur prior to surgery. This was the worst part of the whole recovery process. I had trouble finding a comfortable sleeping position for the first month because I am a side sleeper and it hurt too much to sleep in this position. I also had trouble driving in the beginning because it was just too uncomfortable to do.
I would tell anyone considering this procedure to make sure you have a good person to take care of you, preferably your mother. If I had to do anything different, I would have done it a lot sooner."
"I had my breast augmentation done by Dr. Hedden. I am absolutely pleased with my results. I went to several different doctors and wasn't comfortable with them performing the surgery. I really wanted a "D" cup but a lot of doctors told me that it wouldn't look right. My current breast size was a small "B" cup. After talking to Dr. Hedden he said that would actually work for me.

"I had breast augmentation and Smartlipo to my inner and outer thighs. I am 34 years old and wanted lipo for many years. I went for my consultation in August. I knew immediately that I wanted both procedures and Dr. Hedden to be the one to do them.
I was the first surgery of the day. I was very nervous but excited. Dr. Hedden came in the room and we discussed a lot of things. Dr. Hedden was wonderful! I trusted his knowledge and experience, and went with 450cc. He was right! I would have been very disappointed with 350cc to 375cc.
It has only been a little over four months since my surgery, but I can tell you it has changed my life! I look so much better in my clothes. I have a lot more confidence. I am so glad that I did it! This is one of the best things I have ever done for myself and worth it."
"I am 37 years old and the mom of 3 teen children, all of whom I breast fed. I was always small going through school and could never wear the type of clothes I wanted to wear. After breast feeding three babies I dried up to be even smaller. So at 37 I decided to do something special for myself.
I was going to get a breast augmentation. I made the appointment with Dr. Hedden. His staff is very professional and make you feel at ease. They treated me as if they had known me for years. On my first appointment I was told to bring different size bras that I might like to be, so I did C's and D's. They put my husband and I in a room and gave us several different size implants to try on play with. I decided on 425 CC round under the muscle.
Dr. Hedden came in, examined and measured my chest wall and breast, and said that would work and would make me around full C and small D. He explained the surgery and recovery and answered all my questions. I wanted this so bad but was very scared until I left this appointment. Leaving I felt very sure, safe and excited.
I arrived on the morning of the surgery, my husband got to come back and stay with me until time to go to the O.R. We kissed goodbye and off I was to surgery. The anesthesiologist explained to me what she would be doing and we began.
After the surgery I don't really remember a lot until we were almost home. When we got home my husband helped me into the recliner and told me things went great. I just wanted to sleep. Around 4 hours later I awoke asking for a pain pill, feeling sore and aching. The next morn he got me up and helped me take a shower. My first view of the new girls! There was still tape across my incisions and some bruising. They were still high but wow I was a D cup for sure.
The shower felt great and back on with the sports bra. The recliner was my home for the day because I was sore and stiff but not too much pain. No more pain pills all day. In the days to follow I got my strength back in my arms and it wasn't too long that the girls started to drop.
It has been 13 months now since my surgery and I have no regrets. It has been everything I imagined and I can now wear all the cute clothes that I have always wanted to wear.
So expect 3 days to really feel good and a couple of weeks before you can sleep on your side. But I would recommend it to anyone longing for it like I was. The staff and Dr. Hedden will make you feel so comfortable while you are there."
"I finally got my breast augmentation after wanting it for yearsss. I paid for my surgery in April .. Scheduled it in Birmingham, Alabama for July 23rd. The day of surgery was pretty smooth. I was nervous but the anesthesia knocked me out within minutes ! It wasn't as bad as most people said it would be. Just a lot of tightness and pressure. I went with 550CC on the left and 525CC on the right. Before surgery, I was either a 32DD OR A 34D. NOW I'm either a 36DDD or a 38DD. My only Advice is if u want your breasts done DO IT ! IT IS SOO WORTH IT. If u do decide to do it , get plenty of rest! Take someone with u that u can definitely depend on to help u . Let people help u! I will update u guys as time passes. Also, if u want to go the affordable way and get really good results , I would refer my doctor . Doctor Gunn or Doctor Hedden at Hedden & Gunn Plastic Surgery in Birmingham, Alabama. UPDATE — I will be 6 weeks post op on Friday ! My dressings on my stitches came off 3 weeks post op.. I started sleeping on my side about a couple weeks ago . My breasts definitely have dropped tremendously. Up until about a week ago , my breasts were extremely swollen (especially the right one).. but it gets better with time . Time definitely makes a huge difference & I am in love ! I can't wait to fully heal .
UPDATE — Hey guys .. just wanted to update u guys .. My actual bra size is 34i . I'm still shocked about that!. My boobs are super cute and natural looking now & they have became apart of me . I will update u guys as time passes .
UPDATE — Tomorrow will officially be 1 year since my breast augmentation .. I found out that I have Natrelle implants .. I had 465cc on the right filled to 525cc and 500cc on the left filled to 550cc .. i love my boobs !! They have completely dropped and everything .. I forget that they are even there!! If u are considering getting them done , this is your sign !!"
"I am 23 years old. I had been thinking about breast augmentation for about 2 years before I went to Dr. Hedden for a consultation. For the longest time I felt less than a woman because of my small breast size. I had a nice little figure, but it was a "half hour glass" shape. I have a big butt, a small waist and NO BREAST! I was very troubled by that and one day I did something about it.
I had surgery at Hedden Plastic Surgery. Before augmentation I was a full 34A. I decided to go with 390 cc which would give me about a 2 cup size difference. The day of the surgery I remember going back and speaking briefly with a nurse, the doctor and the anesthesiologist. They all were shocked at how calm I was. I was so happy to be getting this procedure done! I was walked into the surgical suite where I was given an IV. I chose to have my implants placed underneath my muscle and the incision was made underneath the fold of my breast.
The next thing I remember was waking up in the recovery room. The nurse smiled and asked how I was doing. I felt really good after I woke up. I truly was not in any pain. It was more of a feeling of tightness in my chest. Shortly thereafter, my fiancé pulled the car up and I was wheeled out. I was feeling well enough that I went into Rite Aid with him to fill my Rx. Then I was taken home to relax and recover.
My recovery process was good. I never felt pain, it was just like a pulled muscle. I was a little stiff for about 2 days, but after that I was okay. I only took maybe 2 of the pain pills. The day after surgery I switched to extra strength Tylenol and the day after that I took nothing. My surgery was on a Monday and I returned to work, feeling great, on Thursday. When I woke up I finally looked down at my "new additions" and noticed that they were basically to my collar bone! They dropped eventually, and now, if I tell someone they do not believe me because they look SO NATURAL!
Some people may think that if you go to a bigger size you may have some limitations to what you can do activity wise. That is not the case for me. I have always been an athletic person and nothing has changed. I can still play basketball, lift weights and anything else that I did before surgery. The only thing I had to adjust to was sleeping on my stomach with a bigger breast size. You kinda feel like you may bust them if you lay on them for too long, but trust me … they won't.
People ask me what was it like to have surgery and would I do it again. My best advice to them would be to research the procedure and the doctor that you would like to go to. Weigh the pros and cons and do what it best for you. But please understand that there are risks involved but for me, my joy and COMPLETE SATISFACTION totally outweighed the risk.
I have had no complication at all and I love my new body. The only thing that I would change would be the size. You may think that 390's sound big and they are. They are a full 34C now, but I think I could pull off a D cup with my body shape. So, Dr. Hedden and staff … see you soon!"
"I am 37 years old and prior to my breast augmentation I was a 36A. I have always wanted a breast augmentation for as long as I can remember. I did years of research and looked at hundreds of before and after pictures. I also joined a message board and talked to people that had this done.
I made my consult with Dr. Hedden and decided that he was the surgeon for me. He took the time to answer ALL my questions and I was comfortable with him and the staff. Dr. Hedden had asked me what size I was considering and I said 375cc's and he said let me just suggest that you go with 395cc's. His reason was that most woman want to be bigger because once the swelling goes down you see a different size. I left my consult still unsure about the size I wanted but I booked my surgery!
I went home and did the rice test in the stockings trying to figure out what I wanted. I wore the rice bags in my bras for days to get comfortable with the size I was considering. My husband thought at this point I was just boobie obsessed, which I was. I finally chose 395cc's, round implants and placed under the muscles, under the breast incision.
On my surgery day, I was so excited that I was finally going to have breasts after all these years of being flat chested. I started to get nervous once they took me back, but once I woke from surgery it was OK. The only thing I felt was heaviness on my chest. I felt that way for days. I never really felt any bad pain. I felt heavy on top. So, for me the recovery time was great.
There was another surgery date for me. I had the right breast that had "bottomed out" which means that the right breast was sitting slightly lower then the left. My husband said it was hardly noticeable but I noticed it. I wanted it fixed so Dr. Hedden went back in and did what they call tacking it up. That surgery for me was a little more painful then my first but still no regrets. I'd do it again in a heartbeat.
I have not had any physical limitations because of my breast augmentation. I'm able to workout and go about my daily life with no problems.
With my surgery I was a 36A and with the 395cc's that put me at 36 small D. I'm very happy that I went ahead with the surgery. I feel better in clothes, my self-esteem has soared. I have had nothing but support from family and friends. I was excited so I had to tell everyone I knew.
In retrospect if I could change one thing I would have gone bigger! I do plan on going bigger in the future. Play with all the sizers or take a bra with you of the size you want to be and see what sizers fill it.
All in all, I have had a GREAT experience. Dr. Hedden and his staff are absolutely wonderful and I would recommend them anyone!"

"I would recommend Dr. Hedden to anyone looking to have plastic surgery. The staff is wonderful. Having said that I will tell you about my experience at Hedden Plastic Surgery.
I was 20 years at the time of the surgery. I weigh about 100 lbs and was an A cup. I have considered breast augmentation for a while. I have always been self conscious about myself throughout school. After I had two kids, I was very unsatisfied with my breast and I finally decided to do something about it.
I started searching online and found Dr. Hedden. I read all the testimonials and decided to make a consultation. After meeting with him I knew right away that he was the one that I was going to let perform my surgery.
The day of my consult was the day I scheduled my surgery. 15 days later was my surgery, I was so excited yet nervous. I was still undecided on the size when I got there but I quickly decided that I wanted 425cc behind muscle with the incision under the breast. They took pictures and started my iv. After they put the anesthesia into my iv, I didn't remember much except them telling me they would take care of me and I was going to be fine. The next thing I remember was waking up very sore. They gave me drink, crackers and I had to have something for pain.
The first day was very uncomfortable for me. I had to stay at a motel because I live more than 30 minutes away from Birmingham. I did not get much sleep that night. I had an appointment the next day. Dr. Hedden said I looked good and that he would see me in 3 weeks. I am still waiting to go to my post-op appointment.
It has been 11 days and I am feeling better. The first week was hard. It feels like a muscle pull, very uncomfortable feeling. I wasn't supposed pick up over 5 lbs and didn't listen because I have a 9 month baby girl and she just made me pick her up. Other than that it has been good.
I am very satisfied with my breast now. I am more confident in myself than I have ever been. So thanks Dr. Hedden and all of his staff!
I was small A cup before surgery now I am a 36C. Sports bras are very comfortable and I love to be able to wear them and still look good. I am so pleased with my results! "I am 32 years old and breast fed both of my children for the first 12 months of their lives. I was never large to begin with, a full B cup which was always fine with me. But after my milk finally dried completely up I couldn't even fit into a training bra. I was so embarrassed for my husband to even look at me. Victoria Secret carried a AA padded bra that actually made me look like I had a little bit up top. I went to purchase several more of that style to find they had discontinued that line!

"I am 24 years old, 5' 4 and 110 lbs. I have considered having breast implants for about three years, but my husband always told me I did not need it. Even though I have always had to buy padded bras and swimsuits.
After having my second child, my breast just disappeared. I did a lot of research on the internet in my spare time, so one day I was watching Plastic Surgery Before and After and decided I wanted to have it done. My husband comes in from work and I told him I wanted to have it done and he said ok if you want to. So I looked up a plastic surgeon close to where I live and made a consultation with Dr. Hedden for the next day. "I am 23 and have beautiful breasts. But I have not always been this confident. This past December, I made a decision that I have been contemplating for several years now. I decided to get breast implants.
I have lived my whole life with a very small chest, and have always felt that my body did not look proportional. I graduated college as a size 34A. After graduation, I decided to reward myself with the augmentation I was longing for.
So during a winter break from my graduate studies, I decided it was time. I had my wedding coming up and wanted to look perfect for my special day. I scheduled a consultation with Dr. William Hedden in Birmingham, Alabama to discuss my options. His office had several real "test" implants that I could handle and put in a sports bra. This, along with Dr. Hedden and his nurses' advice, helped me to decide on a 360cc implant. He explained every detail of the procedure and answered all of my relevant, and silly, questions.
After weeks of anticipation, my day finally came. And it wasn't that big of a deal at all. The surgery went by fast, and I was at home before I knew it, sitting on the couch, drinking a smoothie and watching TV. For a few days after, I was extremely sore, but it was not unbearable by any means. The only thing I really needed help with was sitting up out of bed and picking up things.
After the first week, I was able to take care of myself completely. All I had to do was be patient so that I could heal which was probably the most annoying part. I hated not being able to go to the gym for a few weeks.
Today, I am a very happy 36C (full C). I am now able to wear tank tops with the built-in shelf bra with no padded bra underneath! I am working out in cute outfits and my sports bra doesn't make me look like a man. "I am 20 years old, 5'10", weigh 145 lbs. and have had my breast implants for a week and a half. I was a very small "A" before surgery and am now a full C. I must start off by saying Dr. Hedden did an excellent job! When you meet him and see his work you'll know why.
I researched breast augmentation for about 2 years and finally saved money to go ahead. My boyfriend's mother had her first surgery performed by Dr. Hedden about 9 months ago. I went to her surgery with her, that's when I first met Dr. Hedden. I told him I'd be a "future patient," not realizing I'd be a patient only 9 months later! My boyfriend's mother had a second procedure performed by Dr. Hedden 5 months ago and by then I'd decided I would definitely use Dr. Hedden because of the beautiful work he did on her.
I scheduled my consultation just to ask Dr. Hedden a few questions and before even consulting with him I scheduled my surgery! I knew he was the doctor for me! When I met with him I felt VERY comfortable with him and his staff. He has a beautiful office and everyone there makes you feel very welcome.
When I met with Dr. Hedden he took a look at me and told me I have what is called "constrictive breasts," which means they never developed. Dr. Hedden asked me what size I'd like to go to and I told him I thought a full C but I wanted his opinion. He told me a full C would be good for me and it'd probably take approx. 400-450 cc's to get me there. I got to try on the implant sizers and really liked the 400 cc range.
Surgery Day! I woke up not really nervous (because I've had surgeries before and I really trusted Dr. Hedden), but I was anxious to get it over with. Finally I would no longer be flat-chested! The nurse took before pictures and gave me my IV. The anesthesiologist came in and put some medicine in my IV, which totally relaxed me.
After I was walked to the operating room, I laid on the operating table and was hooked up to several monitors. The last thing I remember is my head feeling really heavy and I was out!
The next thing I remember was waking up in recovery. I stayed until I felt all right and she put my clothes on along with a sports bra that I am to wear for 2 weeks. I was then wheeled to the car. When I got home, I wasn't in that much pain, just really sore. It was hard to take deep breaths but after taking the muscle relaxer it was a little easier. It just felt like something heavy was compressing my chest. I took a shower by myself and washed my hair by myself the very next day. Although the first couple of days I had to have someone help me get out of the recliner, open pill bottles, get in and out of bed, etc.
I had my surgery on a Wednesday and went back to work the following Monday. As far as being painful, I only took pain med's the day of surgery and the day after. Since then I haven't even taken Tylenol or anything for pain. After returning home from work the first couple of days after surgery I would take a muscle relaxer before going to bed.
I have now had my implants for 10 days and I am doing great! A lot of the swelling has gone down and my new boobies look good! I am so happy that I chose to have the surgery and that I used Dr. Hedden. If I should have to have any type of surgery in the future which Dr. Hedden performs, I'll definitely use his practice. I feel very confident now with my new look. Thanks Dr. Hedden!"

It was a huge decision to alter my body. What doctor? What type of implant? Should I do it? Will I have regrets? My questions were endless. "I had implants 3 weeks ago. I am 45 years old, 5 ft. 3 in. tall and weigh 140 lbs. I was a 34B before surgery and now I am a 36C. I had a 360CC moderate profile smooth round Mentor implants. My implants were placed sub-muscular with my incisions under my breast.
I had always wanted large breasts since high school. I have 2 children and loved being pregnant because I had breast and felt more like a woman.
I had talked to several girls who had breast implants by Dr. Hedden, discussed the pros and cons and felt like I wanted to meet the doctor and ask some questions so I made an appointment for a consultation. I met the doctor and his staff and they made me feel very comfortable and helped me decide what would fit my body. I wasn't able to make an appointment then, but in January I made an appointment for April and was ready to tell the world.
The morning finally came and I was very nervous, not about getting the implants, but about being put to sleep. When I talked to the Anesthesiologist I felt better, but the best advice I got was from Dr. Hedden's nurse. She explained if I could differentiate pressure from pain I would be able to understand what to expect after the surgery.
Finally my dream has come true, my implants were put in and the first 2 to 3 days I was a little uncomfortable with pressure and soreness in the muscles in my chest and under my arms and I had to have help rising up in the bed.
The surgery was on a Wednesday and by Friday I was almost back to myself. The day I got home I took a pain pill and 2 hours later I took a muscle relaxer. The next day I started the antibiotics and took 1 muscle relaxer at night. I can honestly say there was no pain just pressure like the nurse said.
I went back to work in 1 week. I had someone to help me the first 2 days, after that I have been on my own and doing great. I feel a little twinge ever now and then when I shampoo or keep my arms up a lot, but that's to be expected. I feel wonderful. It has given me so much self-esteem. My attitude towards everything is different, I'm a happier wife and a confident stylist with a whole new wardrobe. That was a gift from my husband who is also proud of the "twins".
I have shown a lot of my customers the different me and have answered lots of questions people had and hope that because of my personal experience that I will be able to send some more people to have the procedure.
I will be making another appointment for other procedures that the doctor offers that I have needed for a while.

"I had breast implants last year. I had been struggling with this decision for years. I have always been overweight. I made a deal with myself that if I lost the weight I would go ahead with the surgery. After my second child, I weighed 189 lbs and was a size 14. It took a year but I lost 40 lbs and got down to a size 8. Losing the weight also affected my breast size. I was a small B and after I lost weight I became a small A.
My cousin referred me to Dr. Hedden. I went for a consultation and felt totally comfortable with him and his staff. I tried on sizers and decided on a full C to small D. I did a lot of research and scheduled my surgery for the end of May.
On the day of surgery, I was nervous and excited at the same time. I did not have to wait very long. The surgery itself was fine. I do not remember much pain at all. We had to drive an hour back home and I slept most of the way. My mom kept my children for a few days, so I had plenty of time to rest. I was so concerned with nausea that I would eat crackers every hour. I did not get sick once. I was off from work a total of five days.
The first look at them scared me to death. My husband and I took pictures to compare day by day the progress. It took a while but they softened up a lot in a matter of weeks. After six weeks, I wore a tank top for the first time in 15 years.
It will be a year in three days and I do not regret the decision. I feel better about myself on the outside and inside."
"I'm 23 years old and have wanted a breast augmentation for as long as I can remember. Last year I finally decided I would at least go in for consultation. I did a search and came across www.heddenmd.com. From there I was able to send an email asking all of my questions.
Within a couple of days I received an email from Dr. Hedden. I had asked him general questions about the procedure including the cost. He answered all my questions, even the dumb ones, including the price of the surgery. I was so happy with the price and the doctor's cooperation that I immediately scheduled my consultation.
When I got to the office, I felt very comfortable with the atmosphere. The nurse was in the room waiting for us when we got back. She asked me what I was thinking about having done and I told her I wanted a breast augmentation. She asked me if I knew what kind of incision I wanted and briefly went over the different types of incisions. I decided I wanted the crease incision (inframammory fold).
After she was certain all my questions were answered she took me to a room so I could try on sample implants. I tried on several and decided I was going to get 400cc. After I found a size, Dr. Hedden and his assistant came in and talked to me about what the nurse had written on my chart. He talked about the difference in having the implants placed over and under the muscle. He told me he thought under the muscle was the best option for me. He told me I was a small B and noted that my creases were not even. I showed him the size I was looking at and told him I wanted to be a full C and he said that would work out great.
She returned with my paperwork and gave me a price that was actually a little cheaper than the price I was quoted on the email. I was so excited that I could hardly sleep. I had a little over a month to wait. I called Dr. Hedden's office at least 50 times asking dumb questions. They never got mad and they always assured me that I could call them anytime.
Finally it was time for my 2-week check up. Everyone greeted me with a smile. Dr. Hedden came in and confirmed all my information and asked if there were any changes. I told him I now wanted to go to a D instead of a C. He said that would be no problem.
The following 2 weeks were the slowest days of my life. I went out and bought my sports bra and made plans for my friend to take care of me for a few days.
They called me back on time and took me to a room where I took off my clothes and put on a robe. They asked me if anything had changed and I told them I wanted to go bigger. She brought in some sample implants so I could decide for the last time which size I wanted. After I decided she took the before pictures and had me get on the bed. Dr. Hedden asked me again if I had any questions and I said that I wanted to change the size again. He told me he already had me down as 450cc and I said that was fine.
Next thing I know I'm in the recovery room and feel like my back is on fire. My breasts didn't hurt at all but my back was killing me. I was hurting so bad and all I wanted was to go home.
I got home, got in bed and could hardly breathe from the pain. I took my pain medicine and a muscle relaxer and went to sleep. I woke up about every 3-4 hours hurting and needing more medicine. After the first 8 hours I started feeling better each time I would wake up.
I got up the next morning and went back to Dr. Hedden's office for my check-up. I felt so much better. He said I looked great and scheduled me to come back in 2 weeks.
Within the next few days I was driving and moving around on my own. My surgery was on a Tuesday and the following Monday I went back to work. I was doing and feeling great. When I left work that day I got into a car accident. The seatbelt hurt my breast and it scared me to death. I called Dr. Hedden and his nurse told me to go to the Emergency Room and get an X-ray. They wrapped me up and told me to see Dr. Hedden the next morning. I called him the next day and he was very busy but made time for me. I got a rental car and was heading to his office when I got into another car wreck. I got my brother to call 911 and immediately called Dr. Hedden's office. I made it to their office and they gave me a short massage to calm me down. Dr. Hedden came in and assured me that I was ok. I was so thankful to him for kindness. He really went out of his way to take care of me. Everything was going fine.
A few days after my follow-up appointment I noticed some pain and a strange uncomfortable feeling in my left breast. I called Dr. Hedden's office and they assured me that it was ok and a few weeks later it went away and I had beautiful breasts. I got measured and I was a 36 D. Every day they look better and better and I couldn't be more satisfied. I love my new breasts and I would recommend Dr. Hedden to anyone who wants to get a breast augmentation."
"I am 35 years old, 5' and weigh about 105 pounds. I went from not even a full A to a full 34B. I have wanted and considered breast augmentation surgery since my early 20's. I discussed the issue with my husband on several occasions, he finally told me to call and see about price and getting a consultation.
I emailed Dr. Hedden's office, told them I was interested in a breast augmentation consult and asked the price. I got an email back the same day. I called and got an appointment for a consult. I was not even a full A, so I was afraid he would tell me I was hopeless. The staff was great and made me feel very relaxed. After that, the nurse came in to start the IV.
The surgery went great, and when I woke up there was a nurse right there to see if I was hurting or if I needed anything. I was very surprised that I was not hurting at all. I stayed there a little longer and she asked if I was ready to try to get up, get dressed and leave. I was ready to go, so she helped me to sit up and put on my support bra. Since my breast was so small before and now I actually had some breast, the weight of the implants felt strange, not uncomfortable. After getting dressed, the nurse wheeled me out and we got in the car and were home by midday. We kept an ice bag on each boob for most of the first day.
The days following the surgery went great. I had no problems moving around or getting up and down on my own. I did have a little pain in my left breast during the first week, but nothing unbearable. I still felt like a had a weight in my chest, but again this was not painful or uncomfortable. That went away within the first week. I know everybody has different experiences, but I would not think twice about doing this again, if I had known how little pain and recovery was involved I would have done it years ago. I am so happy I finally got brave enough to go for it. I am looking forward to my first summer wearing a swimsuit that I can actually put some boobs in.
So, for anyone who has been considering breast augmentation surgery I would suggest it, at least making the first step and setting up a consult. You wont regret it! Good luck!"

"I am 32 years old, 5'2" and weigh 105 pounds. For years I was so afraid to go to the doctor to even have my finger pricked, let alone a major surgery. But, I was scheduled for another procedure and was prepared to be off work.
My friend who had implants herself actually made the suggestion about getting implants. She said, "Since, you're going to be off work anyway, you could have breast augmentation." At that time I weighed less than 100 pounds and was a very small B cup. I thought, "Here I am always wearing the thickest padded bra I could find, having implants is an excellent idea!"
Once I made the decision, I knew I wanted to use Dr. Hedden. I wanted to be able to have both surgeries simultaneously, but, it ended up being more economical to have the surgeries performed on separate days. Dr. Hedden was highly recommended by several people. From the beginning, he and I had a great rapport and all his staff was very helpful. I liked the fact that I was able to try on the implants. It gave me an idea of what I would actually look like. I chose rather large implants for my size, and I wasn't sure if Dr. Hedden would agree. But he got several measurements from me and said the size would be fine. I would be going from a very small B to a 34D.
The day of surgery I was scared. But, everyone there, especially the anesthesiologist, put me at ease. I told him that I felt nauseated and he gave me some medicine in my IV. I received 425 cc implants. My incisions were made underneath my breasts. I don't remember anything about the surgery. The last thing I remember is talking to the nurse.
When I woke up, I was in a lot of pain, though Dr. Hedden did warn me beforehand. I kept asking for more pain medicine. It felt like an elephant was on top on my chest, it hurt to even walk!
The next day I felt so much better and each day got even better. I went back to work the next the week and wasn't taking any medication. Within four weeks, I was able to go back to the gym. I had no complications at all. The only downfall was that I was so swollen and they were huge at first.
Today, I continue to mainly wear sports bras. I sleep in one every night. It is awesome to be able to not have those bulky padded bras that I used to wear. I would tell anyone that considers breast augmentation that it's a personal issue. Personally, I would do it all over again. I am very happy with the results and so is my husband!"
"I am a 27 year old stay at home mom. I have always wanted larger breasts. I realized mine were abnormally small in junior high school. I was an A cup in high school, but after having and nursing two babies my breasts had shrunk to a tiny 32AA.

Now at 9 months post-op, I couldn't be more pleased. I can go but all kinds of bikinis and strappy tank tops. I look proportional! The only problem I have encountered is some rippling when I bend over. But I figure I don't walk around in public topless and bent over, so it is fine with me.

"I had breast augmentation when I was 25 years old, 5'8" tall and weighed 135 pounds. My breast size was a 34A before surgery but I am now a full 34C.
I spent hours looking at before and after photos and trying to educate myself on various surgical techniques. I decided to schedule a consultation with my friend's surgeon but was able to meet with a new physician in the area first, Dr. William Hedden. I took in several photos to give him an idea of the results I was looking for. My main concern was being too large and looking unnatural. After meeting him and his nurse, I was very comfortable and felt his recommendations would give me the results I was looking for. I wanted a second opinion and kept my appointment with my friend's doctor. When he gave similar recommendations, I decided to follow through with Dr. Hedden. I don't remember much of my recovery time. I remember sitting up to put my sports bra on and feeling like I had a ton of bricks on my chest. I remember holding my chest and doing Lamaze type breathing to get through the pain. There was intense pressure and it felt as if my chest was going to explode. We stayed in a hotel that night in order to make the follow-up appointment the next morning (his office was a few hours from our home). I don't recall much from that night other than my husband feeding me soup and making me get up and move around as the doctor ordered! He had to wrap his arm around my back and lift me to sit because I could not move on my own. I can remember pulling up to the parking lot the next morning. I was terrified to have Dr. Hedden examine my breasts for fear of pain, but it wasn't that painful. I was pretty swollen and concerned that I had gone too large. He said everything looked great and reminded me that I was still swollen!
We went home and I slept most of the day Thursday and Friday, but moved around at regular intervals. It was Monday morning that I was able to slide off the bed by myself and wash my hair by leaning my head forward. I was able to work that day but couldn't perform any lifting or overhead reaching. I was able to get through the day with ibuprofen only and my pain was well managed.
I was able to move my arms fully by the end of the first week. It took nearly 2 weeks for me to be able to sit up normally from the bed or couch. It was uncomfortable to sleep on my side. It was a month before I attempted to sleep on my stomach. I went back 2 weeks after surgery to have my stitches removed, which was an unpleasant experience.
It has been a year and a half and I could not be more pleased with the results. Once the swelling went down, I felt like I had selected the perfect size implant. It is easier for me to shop because my chest is in proportion with the rest of my body. I would change nothing about my decision to have breast augmentation because it has been a great experience for me. For others who feel the way I did, I would recommend that they make an appointment because it has made a world of difference in my confidence and in my life."

The only thing I did was go to work too early. I had the surgery on Wednesday and went to work on Monday. Although I work on a computer I had a 69 mile drive. That drive is what did me in I was miserable.
To me at first my chest did not look like the great chest shots you see on TV. Up in the air one more swollen or moved over, lopsided. I saw something different that I did not like every day. Slowly they started to fall into place; then I thought they looked too small. I was still swollen up high in my chest for several weeks as expected. This swelling pushed them out to the side, so no cleavage. Then slowly the swelling went down and they started to come together and now I love them. I am very thankful I went with the D because the C would have been too small. I think by the looks many people do notice something but are not sure what it is. Five months later, I am exercising normal and doing everything I used to. Every once in a while I get a twinge or feel funny but I can tell that this happens less and less. I am very happy with my looks and really like going to Victoria's Secret and getting asked my size! I like looking at myself in the mirror. "About 7 years ago, after having my second child, I decided to have breast augmentation. Following 2 pregnancies and nursing, my breasts were mostly loose skin.
I went to see a plastic surgeon in Birmingham and had my surgery several months later. I was never completely satisfied because the implants were too high in my chest and did not look natural.
Approximately 5 years after my first surgery, I went back to my original surgeon. He recommended replacement of the implants, another $6000. A friend of mine told me to go see Dr. Hedden.
